The new LCL bank in Foix

The new LCL bank in Foix, Ariege, France is very professional.. I needed to buy and sell a house, and to understand my bank card. At every meeting they have been enormously helpful. Thank you, Vianny Danard

Very pleasant and helpful when… ...but!

Very pleasant and helpful when physically in the branch in Paray le Monial.... ...but otherwise, pretty dire. They charge 11 euros a month for an account with 15 debits per annum. Having had a notaire deposit the proceeds of the sale of a property, they were swiftly in touch to discover what we wanted to do with it. On learning that we wanted to repatriate the funds, a maximum transfer of 1,000 euros appeared, along with a restriction that funds could only be transferred to a bank in France or Monaco! After a week of emails, we can finally transfer funds to the UK, but only 1,000 euros every three days!!! Do they really expect us to process 81 transactions, each separated by three days?! The promise of raising this to 6,000 euros is yet to be fulfilled, despite a week going by. Emails to our 'personal banker' are often ignored and basic levels of service now seem to be beyond their capability. Avoid!!!

I used the ATM machine outside the bank…

I used the ATM machine outside the bank for some reason the machine took my bank card without any reason. I went a next day to speak to the bank. They asked me my ID. I presented my passport and other bank cards still
They didn't want to give me my card back. I contacted Revolut customer help. They said there was nothing wrong with my card. However, Revolut wasn't much of help. France is a rip off country
I will never travel to France again. Bank address is 53 Avenue Jean Jures, Gagny, Paris

Evil company full of incompetent folks

I had been using LCC for the past three and a half years and it is the worst decision of my life. My counselor was such an incompetent and lazy one telling me that I should get in touch with another agency whenever I raised issues. When I went to the agency myself, they told me to contact my counselor.
Too many issues. Please do yourself a favor and avoid using LCL at all costs. Period.

Point final.

This company cannot do the simplest…

This company cannot do the simplest thing correctly like order a new card. Been with bank 9 years. Premier account holder. Two cards arrived in branch the first wouldn’t activate they said so they ordered a second. Had the audacity to charge me 54e! The second arrived they said it wouldn’t activate.
I had the code I begged to differ, put it in the machine withdrew 10e, this level of incompetence before I travel to Uk for Christmas. Not even an apology!
They are open yes, the lights are on but, seriously no one is in. If you know that phrase it applies as this lot are incompetent

Very bad

They do not know what customer service means and behave as if your money is their money. On top they are now restricting the times when you can get cash to 3h in the morning, like in a banana republic. Unbelievable.

Unbelievably poor customer service

Unbelievably poor customer service. We moved house eight months ago, and they have been unable / not bothered to change our address despite sending them the relevant proofs of address on four separate occasions - even in a recorded letter to the main office in Paris. So statements, cards and PIN numbers are being sent to the old address (which is two and a half hours away), and our online advisor can’t be bothered to respond to my messages. I have quite a few other accounts with other banks, and none have made such a debacle of attending to something as simple as their client moving house.

DON'T USE THEIR ATMS!

I needed some cash (€60) urgently to pay a taxi driver who wouldn't take a debit/credit card. Their machine at 77 BOULEVARD MAGENTA in Paris charged me a fee of €6 - 10% for using my Chase Bank Debit Card. Disgraceful. Avoid.

Worst bank...full of scams

Worst bank...full of scams to earn money. They are not closing my bank account even after several requests and are continuously charging money every month even for a student account.

Absolutely f*ing disgraceful company

Absolutely f*ing disgraceful company, does not even deserve a star!!! Their customer service is appalling - you have to phone them to complete every single little step such simply changing a bloody phone number. Then you have to answer a series of questions confirming your identity and if you get one wrong (or simply they have kept old information which no longer applies) they refuse to help you or tell you which answer was wrong or ask extra questions. I have had to phone these horrible idiotic self-serving and loathsome people dozens of times over issues which could easily have been done online or in a chat. When asking to speak to a superior, the guy pretends he doesn't have one or that there is no one else he can pass you on to, and when demanding he give me his full name, as I have done, he can't!!! Absolutely ridiculous and horrendous. Please avoid this useless bank - and I am a French native speaker so I can't imagine what it would be like for English only speakers!

The bank has the poorest service, poorest reception, i had an encounter with a very mean receptionist( she couldn’t speak english and made it my problem) and made zero effort of trying to communicate with me🥲 their workers cannot iven be true to the appointments you set with them( very unprofessional) once i had to wait for almost 20 minutes just to see my a counselor and he said he was busy and i should call just because i didn’t make an appointment 🙄. i trully don’t recommend this bank to anyone completely anyone. Its the audacity🙄🙄

LCL Bank: A Word of Caution

I recently had the unfortunate experience of opening an account with LCL Bank, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts with anyone considering banking with them. It's important to save others from the frustration and disappointment I've encountered.

First and foremost, the customer support at LCL is severely lacking. Whether it’s a simple inquiry or a more complex issue, getting help from their representatives feels like a battle. Each time I reached out, I was met with long wait times and unhelpful responses, if I got a response at all. It’s as if customer satisfaction is not even on their radar.

What’s worse than poor support is the lack of transparency in their operations. I have experienced situations where mistakes were made on their end, yet the communication from them was anything but straightforward. Instead of owning up to errors, I was given vague explanations and evasive answers. It felt like they were more focused on hiding their mistakes than rectifying them. This lack of accountability is incredibly frustrating for any customer.

It’s evident that customer experience is not a priority for LCL.

In conclusion, I urge anyone considering opening an account with LCL Bank to think twice. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your banking needs—there are plenty of other institutions that will value you as a customer and provide the support you deserve.

I would give a zero star if I could.

I would give a zero star if I could.

I was told that I'd get bank acc asap. The second time I went there again was around a month later to ask why i haven't received any news of my bank acc yet. They told me that it could takes up to 7 weeks. Now it's been 7 weeks and i still haven't heard anything so I went there again to ask and all they could say is that they couldn't find my documents (though i already did) and told me to find another bank. Like, seriously? They wasted 7 WEEKS of my time just to tell me that. They didn't even bother to ask if I want to submit the documents again.

I had asked my LCL branch for a debit…

I had asked my LCL branch for a debit card a few months ago, so I wouldn't have to pay Sterling>Euro exchange, and also be able to shop on Amazon.fr Prime, saving postage if buying gifts for family. Card arrived OK, but not activated by my branch so I could use from where Ilve in England.
Amazon.fr has emailed me to say card payment declined. Phoned card services at LCL who advised me to phone a number today. I explained the problem and was told a manager would phone me within the hour. 4 hrs 20 minutes later still waiting, despite phoning after 2 hours and at half hourly intervals since. I was also told even if the chap activates card (when he eventually deigns to phone), that it cannot be used for 24 hours. Meanwhile Amazon.frhas warned that it will shortly cancel my orders, One of which has only 3 in stock, it is possible I might not be able to buy the presents . I have now on 5th phone call at £1.50 p.minute ( over including queue times - 20+ minutes finally been put in touch with a manager who said their person should not have said they would call me back, as LCL does not phone abroad !! He has said card has now been validated. Why if they have my e-mail address, did they not simply text me. I cannot understand why, (if the card can only be validated by a manager, )the manager of my LCL branch at Salies did not activate it when sent, or at least explain that he would activate it on my receiving it. After all, it would be the correct way to do it! I'm very angry too at being charged all these months for a card I could not have used. Theft !

LCL /BNP Paribas bank scam

About two years ago I received some money to BNP Paribas Banque Paris, after a bunch of lies and scam lawyers like Franc Modrijan and Frank Berton. The LCL bank came in service and claimed that they had taken over and was now controlling the money. They have this madame Sandra Coulombez in BNP Paribas Banque Paris and LCL well she is a real class act scammer. I ended up with a bunch of payments which she stuck straight into her own pocket. After a whole bunch of bank managers talk and emails they made her refund the money 2400 € to the bank and not to me. In my book that is still a fraud. Same as both BNP Paribas and LCL are running nothing but scams. I don't know who's idea it was to put the money in these banks as they are nothing but scam and fraud banks. Be aware if you have any contact with these. I made a police report on BNP and LCL also on Sandra Coulombez. But in Finland the police didn't give a crap. I guess I am not rich enough for the police to bother or the wrong name.
