Viewing date was arranged swiftly. The agent who showed us the apartment was very professional and very helpful. The reference check process was very fast. The agency was always carrying us along throughout the entire process. I am so happy overall.

Not Good

Every process with these people is drawn out. You'll be fed bits and pieces of info they could have requested from you weeks ago, and whenever I email them (or phone them as I did yesterday) I get false promises and basic/automated C + P email replies that don't even correspond to my query!!!!

Wanted to leave a review to express my gratitude to Holly Breacker at the lettings hub for being an absolute credit to the team.

As a letting agent with a large portfolio , prompt referencing is key to a smooth process.

Nothing is too much trouble for Holly , you know you can email her at any time and she will help troubleshoot the issue. She has an extensive knowledge of the protocol's , referencing process and will always find a way for the tenant to be accepted as smoothly as possible.

Holly isn't even the client relationship manager , and yet I would highly recommend her being put forward for this role in the future.

Massive thank you from all at Huddersfield Whitegates. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

We complete referencing checks on behalf of your Letting Agent and as part of our agreement we are required to carry out a credit check, as well as obtain an income reference and rental reference. I can confirm the information we requested on your application form was relevant to the tenancy and necessary to process your application and I can see that your referencing checks were completed in 2 days. Great Service and Efficient Process

I had a great experience renting through this letting agency. They were fast, helpful, and made the process quick, even so close to the holidays. They showed us several apartments before we decided, and the paperwork was quick and easy.

Really incompetent company that seems…

Really incompetent company that seems to be ran by teenagers. We supplied all the information, my partner gave 6 months of bank statements and invoices from work, numbered each one to correlate. And they still couldn't understand the documents. We moved to another city so I had a new job waiting for me, took 5 weeks to process our application almost losing me the job in the meantime. I was actually declined the first time as I was 'unemployed' I left my job the day before applying as we were told it would take a week to process. Our guarantor was declined, a home owner with a fully paid off mortgage of 20 years and earning 65k a year, now retired. Apparently the girl from lettings hub couldn't 'understand' his bank statements. Absolutely abysmal. Avoid if you are a prospective tenant.

Worst company I dealt with my entire life

This is, without a doubt, the WORST company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Their complete lack of competence and professionalism is beyond belief. Our background check has dragged on for over a MONTH, with constant delays, contradictory information, and never-ending requests for irrelevant or redundant details.

What’s worse is their atrocious communication. At no point was it made clear what they needed from us upfront. Instead, they piecemeal their requests, coming back over and over with new demands that could have easily been avoided had they bothered to communicate properly in the first place. It’s as though they’re making up the process as they go along.

Their delays and utter chaos have completely derailed our timeline, caused us endless stress, and left us questioning how such a disgraceful company is even allowed to operate. Our check did not go through which was not the biggest issue. But all of the stress could have been avoided if they had been very clear at the very beginning instead of asking for more information and still not being able to approve our checks. It ended with us having to pay 15k (!) to the agency (which means 6 month rent upfront) because we did not pass the check but also did not have any time to go ahead and work with another real estate agency.

Their customer service is nonexistent, and their approach is so unprofessional that it borders on negligence.

If you value your time, energy, and mental health, STAY FAR AWAY from this shambolic excuse for a business. They’re not just bad—they’re an absolute disgrace.

We sincerely apologise that you feel this way about your referencing application. We have looked into this and can confirm the delay related to your landlord reference. When we contacted the letting agency you originally provided us with, they advised they do not manage the property in question and we would need to contact your landlord instead. We therefore requested this information, and reached out to the landlord to obtain your reference but we were advised we had the wrong person. We then had to chase for alternative details but due to the time it was taking to get your reference back, we also asked for a copy of your rental documents. Please note this is not something we would ask for at the start of the referencing process as these documents would not always be needed. Unfortunately, I can see that the documents you provided did not pass our internal checks and we could not proceed any further. Once again we are sorry you feel this way and do wish you all the best in your new home.

First time using the Lettings Hub. I did have 3 other quotes from other insurance agents, but what swayed me to go with the Lettings Hub was a good price and the 5 star service Derek Kelly gave me, from start to finish. I would definitely recommend the Lettings Hub and Derek Kelly. �
