It tastes like ice cream used to when I was young. While more expensive than shop-bought brands, you do get what you pay for. If you're having it delivered, do beware the plastic lids, though - they tend to shatter easily when the dry ice gets them too cold, and the stickers don't adhere well to the lids at freezing temperatures either. Still, those are mere nitpicks in comparison to the excellent quality of the product itself. If you really like ice cream, go for it.

Thanks so much for your kind words, we're so sorry about the issue with the lids, it's something we're working on but we're so glad you loved your ice cream.
The ice cream were all lovely apart from one tub which was not what I ordered. Marshfield replaced the ice cream with what I ordered

Hi Jean, thanks so much for your review and sorry about the hiccup with your order, I'm so glad we managed to sort it for you and hope you love your ice cream.
Fantastic icecream and really great customer service. My daughter can't eat dairy due to an intolerance and Marshfield non dairy icecreams are amazing for her and taste great to me too. We got it delivered with their dry ice packing and the delivery got delayed due to an issue with DPD. As soon as I let them know Marshfield sent the order again which arrived perfectly the second time. No argument or messing about they just sorted it which is a great sign of a trustworthy company. Definitely a 5 star for me on both product and service.

Thanks so much for your kind review, Nicolas, we're so sorry again for the delivery hiccup but we're so happy we managed to get your ice cream to you!
I made the terrible mistake of eating marshfield farm dairy free ice cream whilst out at a theatre. I can only excuse myself that I didn’t look too closely as it was dark. It tasted disgusting so I left most of it. Then I looked at the ingredients later. Titanium dioxide. Banned in the eu and 2 other potentially carcinogenic ingredients.

Hi Lindsey,
We're so sorry you didn't enjoy your Plant Based Salted Caramel, it's a flavour that is suitable for vegan diets, so if you're used to real dairy ice cream we can see why it may not have tasted as you'd expect but it's enjoyed by many across the UK.
Thank you for your comments on Titanium Dioxide, while it is an approved ingredient in the UK we are proactively removing this from our range. Of over 40 flavours it only features in the ripple of two, including Plant Based Salted Caramel. The ripples are sourced from one of our suppliers and we are engaging with them to reformulate the recipe and remove it from all products as soon as we can.
always on time and it is great that you can follow when to expect Simon who is always so lovely and friendly. And it goes without saying how wonderful your ice cream is and what a brilliant way to be able to buy it with a delivery!

Hi Shelia, thanks so much for your feedback and we'll definitely let Simon know!
I have a granddaughter who has a milk and soy allergy and I could not believe when we ate at a local restaurant they offered ice cream. It looked do good we all had to taste it and all agreed it was amazing normally she can have just an ice lolly
I tracked it down and could not believe that several flavors were available so I ordered all of them. My granddaughter was delighted. Thank you

Hi Josie, thanks so much for the amazing review, we're so glad your granddaughter can enjoy our ice cream too! Many thanks, Olivia
Ice cream is the best but unfortunately the lids on the tubs are not very robust and on numerous occasions they are already broken when I unpack my delivery. It’s a real shame as the ice cream itself is delicious. Also wish all flavours were available through national delivery. I love the coconut ice cream but can’t get it very often.

Hi Linda, thank you so much for the kind review of our ice cream, we're so glad you enjoyed it. Our national delivery offering is limited as we store our tubs with our delivery partner however we try to rotate the flavours and keep favourites in the mix. I'll have a word with the team and see if we can get Caribbean Coconut on there more often!
Thanks so much for your note about our lids. We are aware that they can sometimes break, and we're in the process of designing a new one-litre tub that should solve the problem. In the meantime, we're working with our delivery team to try to prevent breakages in transit.
Thanks again and I hope you continue to enjoy our ice cream, Olivia
Excellent ice-cream as usual. First time with honey/ginger: absolutely delicious!
For some reason the delivery man doesn't seem to like us, and leaves the box inside the front door. Nervous of lifts perhaps?
Still, I need the exercise.

Hi John, thanks so much for your kind review, great choice of flavour! I'm sorry your delivery driver didn't bring your box inside the door, sadly we don't have lots of control over the individual couriers, but we'll get in touch with DPD and see if there's anything we can do! Thanks, Olivia
Best ice cream I have ever tasted. They have lots of gluten free options which is perfect for me, being coeliac. Just placed my second order and I will undoubtedly be a regular customer moving forward.

Hi Debbie, thanks so much for your kind words - we're so happy you enjoyed your ice cream!
My last order which contained the orange flavour ice lollie push-ups turned out to be sorbet - not iced lollie as previous. Why is this?

Hi John, thanks for the feedback, sorry if you were disappointed with your order. We haven't changed the recipe of our Push Up Pops, so we'd love to find out a little more info from you. We'll drop you an email privately for some additional feedback. Many thanks, Olivia
My wife, daughter and I had Marshfield Farm’s Honeycomb Ice Cream whilst at Haldon Forest near Exeter and on first bite found a large, jagged white piece of plastic in it. Thankfully it wasn’t my 2yr old who tasted this first as that absolutely could’ve killed her had she swallowed it.
The vendor themselves didn’t care and literally decanted the ice cream from one (seemingly cracked) tub to another so that they could keep selling it.
We were in email conversation with Marshfield Farm who seemed to take this seriously at first, visiting Haldon Forest to investigate, but then promptly closed our complaint and said “…we’ve got good contamination and foreign body control”.
That was it.
No proper investigation.
No proper apology.
Not even an offer of some free, uncontaminated ice cream to repair our relationship.
Avoid and just buy yourself a Magnum instead.

Hi James,
Thanks for your feedback and we want you to know we absolutely take incidents like this very seriously and we are extremely sorry this happened.
After you raised the issue with the broken tub served by one of our customers to our Technical team, we visited the cafe in question to ensure they had the correct procedures in place should any tubs be broken. The tub itself had been disposed of and we were assured that any product remaining in it was also disposed of, and we reiterated best working practises to our customer to ensure they know how to handle issues like this should they arise.
We do everything we can to avoid incidents like this and we are very sorry this happened to you and your family. We use specific food-grade plastic for our tubs and our production is compliant to BRCGS Food Safety Global Standards and based on leading industry procedures. As a manufacturer, we work with customers across the UK who are responsible for serving our ice cream. We provide product training and support, however I'm sure you can understand that the venue where you purchased your ice cream is not owned by Marshfield Farm Ice Cream, it is owned by a third party and supplied by a distributor and though we do everything possible to ensure that stockists are handling our ice cream correctly, it is ultimately the responsibility of the vendors on how they serve their customers.
I can see you had lots of email discussion with our Technical Manager, who did indeed apologise and offered you compensatory ice cream and even to visit our farm, however, we didn't get a response from you. This offer still stands, we absolutely value you as loyal fans of Marshfield Farm.
I want to repeat how sorry we are that this incident happened, we never want to let ice cream fans down and we are very happy to pick up the conversation again over email if it will help repair the relationship.
Always found this a very professional service. From ordering to delivery everything excellent. Being able to track my order a real benefit and drivers always very friendly.
