High Class and Outstanding customer service

Until I had a serious house fire in May 2019 I had no ideas that companies like Morgan Clark existed. But let me tell you when your world has fallen apart the last thing you need is to be dealing with Insurance companies because to be blunt they are a nightmare. Morgan Clark provide a no cost service to yourself to liaise on your behalf with the insurance company and to provide the highest quality support and services including building, surveyance and decorating. Throughout the process they chase insurance companies for payments on your behalf and ensure that you get the maximum satisfaction out of your policy. Sarah Lohan, Pino Musso and Robert Godlonton were the main team who supported me from Day one when I sat on the wall outside my house covered in soot and just cried. I cannot speak highly enough for the service, professionalism and going the extra mile they provided. If you ever find yourself in an insurance nightmare such as Fire and Flood please please please contact Morgan Clark. You wont regret it.

Morgan Clarke represented me in dealing with my property insurance company.

Morgan Clarke represented me in dealing with my insurance company. They also recommended an excellent surveyor. Both worked together making an excellent team.
I have dealt with Morgan Clarke a number of times and in each case the settlement with the insurance company more than met my expectations.

Outstanding and Professional

The service we received from Morgan Clark was absolutely outstanding from start to handover of the property. From Pino’s appointment as our representative with the insurance claim our journey to restore a fire ridden building was on the right track. Throughout the whole process we were updated very regularly on the
progress of the restoration and any queries we had were dealt with respectfully and promptly. Both Pino and Sarah were excellent in all the contacts we had with them and the team they built around them to engage in the rebuild from Bedfords to Direct Building Services were of the same calibre. They complimented each other really well and the end product was transformative.
We cannot praise their work and workmanship highly enough which was reassuring for us since we had never been in this situation before and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have had access to the professionalism and quality of all the team that Morgan Clarke assembled to complete this project.
We cannot praise them highly enough and would highly recommend them to anybody finding themselves in this situation.

House Fire

Both myself and my partner have been supported by Martin Chapman after a recent house fire. Martin and his secretary Sarah dealt directly with our insurance company to ensure the work/repairs to our home where to our standard, they both ensured we received the correct compensation from the insurance company and would listen to any concerns we had and direct them back to the insurance company as needed. Our main communication was via email (at our request) and everything was always explained very well, however they were both quick to answer/return any calls as needed. I cannot recommend this company but especially Martin& Sarah enough, they kept the process running as smoothly as possible and it was reassuring to know they were there supporting us. We are now back in our home.

Expertise and experience invaluable.

Having become involved in a considerable insurance claim concerning a property involved in a neighbouring gas explosion and fire I am thankful to have had Morgan Clark navigate things on my behalf.

Expertise and experience at such a stressful time with huge implications financially and emotionally was invaluable. I would have felt totally out of my depth and unconfident challenging any decisions an insurance company would have suggested if I had gone alone into this process. I think it would have been hugely challenging to take this onboard and potentially very costly if I had rushed decision making. Representatives from Morgan Clark were calm and thorough and great to have "in my corner".
I felt well represented throughout.

Storm Ciara flooded us on Sunday 9th Feb 2020…

We were flooded on Sunday 9th Feb 2020 due to Storm Ciara. We contacted Morgan Clark to act for us with our claim. In spite of lockdown due to Covid-19 they dealt with the claim very quickly and kept us fully updated at all times. I would fully recommend them!

Five star service, fantastic company

We experienced a house fire in 2022.
The first couple of weeks after the fire were just awful. The loss adjuster our insurance company used to handle our claim were possibly the worst company I'd ever had to deal with. There was no empathy at all, calls and emails weren't returned, the person dealing with our claim was never available to talk to. At our wits end, a bit of Googling for advice introduced us to the world of loss assessors and namely Morgan Clark.
I got in touch with them and a representative came to see us the following day. He was obviously keen for our business but equally was not dismissive of the competition (we had also arranged a visit from another firm). He just urged us to employ a loss assessor as it was a large claim that needed professional handling. Once we engaged Morgan Clark we very quickly met with Paul Taylor who was going to handle our case. Instantly the anxiety and stress went away as he would be taking over and we'd no longer have to deal with the loss adjuster. The builders and surveryors employed by Morgan Clark were brilliant and we are absolutely delighted with our "new" home. Paul was very responsive and kept us up to date with all the developments, it was incredibly frustrating for him to have to deal with the loss adjuster but he managed to secure a good settlement for us for our contents and the building works.
If you have a large claim I'd urge anyone to give Morgan Clark a call and get some expert advice. They really were a life saver, there is absolutely no way we could have handled the claim ourselves and I'm sure we would have ended up a lot worse off financially without them.

Morgan Clark use poor quality Contractors, i had a flood in my home, the water tank burst causing water to flood through the whole of the first floor landing to the ground floor.
The landing ceiling was supposed to be replaced, the Contractor patched up the ceiling hoping that it wouldn't be noticed,thankfully it was and replaced after contacting Morgan Clark.
The whole house was supposed to be decorated in Diamond Matt (very expensive but perfect as we have children and its hard wearing}, only to find that the Contractor had left the empty pots of the cheapest Emulsion you can buy.
Since the work on my home was completed i have had a leak in my bathroom. Morgan Clark refused responsibility and sent the Contractor out. I was then told that i need to fit flooring down and then the leak will stop.
As i believed them nearly two years later and the leak has now began to get much worse and water is dripping through my lounge ceiling down the walls, according to Morgan Clark this is not their responsibility.
They vett the Contractors and i did not have any say in the choice of Contractors so i believe that Morgan Clark are responsible for the shoddy workmanship.
The bath has been fitted so close to the wall that the water is leaking down the bath of the bath and has been for nearly 2 years, only when British Gas came to inspect the leak did i realise that i had been completely mislead by Morgan Clark and the Contractor involved and the damage that they have done.
Morgan Clark Contractors also fitted LED downlights without changing the dimmer switches so that they are compatible,they now all flicker constantly.
I will be contacting the Ombudsman tomorrow, I look forward to your response !

Avoid like the plague

They lie, they cannot be trusted, they have no respect for the law or for their customers and their property. I am an elderly lady, living alone at a remote location. They turned up at my property in force and bullied me into a panic attack by wrongfully accusing me of being responsible for their own wrongdoing and taunting me with the recent death of my brother. They told me that I and my animals would have to go and stay outside over several months in the middle of winter. I would have to use my electric drier for the animals outside, When I said we could not possibly do that as I would be electrocuted, their agent said, 'You are so negative!' In the 15 months since the fire at my property, they have not produced a single legal option to do repairs. All they are interested in is trying to force me into paying them over 30,000 pounds [for doing nothing] and then organising the work myself. They have tried to force me into using illegal businesses, operating outside the law. They have come up with extraordinarily cruel ideas [the words of DEFRA] for my animals , which would almost certainly kill them and leave me liable to certain prosecution and imprisonment under the Animal Welfare Act. They have said in writing that killing my pets to clear the property is what they expect. In the meantime, I am living in a burned out house with no lights, no heating, doors and windows that do not shut, no TV, no cooker, no washing machine etc. The only thing they have done is to organise people to clear and dispose of ruined items. This firm cost so much money that Morgan Clark informed me that there would not be enough money left to buy new furniture. These people had a great time throwing my things [that they had been told not to touch] out through the bedroom windows to smash to bits on the road below. They smashed to pieces totally irreplaceable things of my mother's. All I have left is a few fragments of broken pottery. Have they apologised? They have not. Have they offered me compensation? They have not. All they have said is that it was my fault. Avoid them like the plague. They have no interest in helping with your insurance claim. All they care about is doing as little as possible to claim as much of your insurance money as possible, leaving you very short of the sums required to restore your property.

Excellent Company

I have nothing bad to say about Morgan Clarke (MC), and working with them, everything was good.
Had a very unpleasant fire experience, not nice, place was a mess, phoned up MC, and within a few hours (hours, not days), one of their team was in attendance. Looked around, said that, “this is what they do”, and from there on in, they took over all the work, secured temporary works the same day. I could not have done that.
Went through the contract procedure, it was all fair, no tricks, no secret clauses, their team was open and explained everything. I didn’t even have to deal with the Insurance Company, save the very first phone call to, “give authority”, for MC to talk to them and take over the claim.
The claim and repair works went as quickly as it was possible. Having only one point of contact was not nice, it was brilliant.
We had a chap called David Lawson. Single point of contact, and would always get back to you, if you emailed, he emailed back, if you phoned, either he answered or someone else did. This is important, if David was not in, someone, probably his secretarial team (mostly Natalie Young) would answer and tell me either where he was, or would answer my query herself, or explain when David would be back. David would then phone when he said he would phone and email when he said he would email.
That’s worth something.
The complete claim went virtually without hitch, there are always bumps in the road with an Insurance Claim, but MC certainly took the lead and ironed out the bumps.
Like I said, I have nothing bad to say.
The claim was settled, I obtained all that I expected to attain, no more, no less.
I cannot recommend MC enough, if I’m in need of a serious claim again, they will be my first port of call.

Exceptional service received following flooding

Following flooding in November 2019 which affected my home, business and the entire village I realise how very fortunately I have been to have had my insurance claim handled by Martin Chapman of Morgan Clark. Upon meeting Martin I knew immediately that I was in a very safe pair of hands; Martin has vast experience and knowledge of the industry. At what was a stressful and emotional time Martin acted swiftly to commence my claim and it was his immediate advice as to next steps and actions I should take to prevent any further damage to my property that has enabled me to minimise the amount of time my business was closed. Even when water levels were too high to allow vehicles into the village, Martin went above and beyond to ensure he attended to view the damage and to get the ball rolling on my behalf with the insurer. It would have been impossible for me to have dealt with this claim myself and I owe an enormous debt of gratitude for the professional, efficient and friendly service provided to me by Martin and his colleague Sarah Lohan. At no time was it necessary for me to request updates on the status of my claim as Martin and Sarah were proactive, ensuring I received regular progress reports. Martin’s calm approach and reassurance that I could contact him at any time should I have questions or concerns was appreciated. I always felt my claim was being dealt with as their number one priority – which is exceptional when the number of claims being handled simultaneously is considered. I cannot recommend highly enough the service I have encountered. Hearing from my neighbours how they are battling to deal with their claims I realise how very lucky I have been to have such true professionals acting on my behalf. I would be very happy for Morgan Clark to release my details to anyone requiring a point of reference regarding Morgan Clark’s services. An enormous thank you for your first-class service Martin Chapman and Sarah Lohan!
