I completed a one day training course at Ipswich, Crown House yesterday. Feeling a little nervous as I was attending alone, I need not have been as my nerves were soon put to rest by our amazing trainer (Laura sorry if I have your name wrong, terrible at remembering names). From start to finish Laura made the course fun 😊 to learn and remember, inclusive, professional and outstanding. As a year 2 student nurse I wasn't expecting to come away with any new information or skills however I was clearly wrong. I can truly see myself using my new knowledge both in my nursing and in my everyday life. Thank you

Had a one day first aid training course today in scarborough with trainer Paul Mathers. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish! Everything was explained and demonstrated so well and I now feel more confident if I was ever in a situation where I'd need to perform first aid. Massive thankyou to SJA and Paul our trainer!

I completed a First Aid at Work course in Bristol (16th - 19th Dec 24) with Joshua Lister-Michell, he's a great instructor, making the information accessible and easy to understand. He made all the training material engaging and assured we all retained the information.

I have just finished my 2 day refresher course at Chelmsford St John training centre. The training was first class and the instructor Bob Byers was one of the best I've had. His story’s regarding his The course was well structured and we were made to feel no pressure and given time and reassurance with each subject.
Bob Catch phrase was “Happy enough with that… 🤣🤣

Had a two-day refresher course at Wimbledon and I really enjoyed it. Our trainer was Jase, and he was really interesting and knew exactly how to engage every single one of the attendees with his techniques, even the shiest ones (like me!). I came away with a lot of information and a lot of confidence in my habilities.

Really enjoyed the 3 day first aid in the workplace course, our trainer Jase was brilliant. He was so engaging, interesting and made the learning fun. He was so knowledgeable and everyone in the group was keen to get involved as he made everyone feel important. I feel confident in the skills I’ve learnt from Jase and would recommend a course with him!

I’ve just finished my First Aid refresher with Jo Pearson. Jo was also my trainer 3 years ago when I did the 3 day training both completed in Nottingham. She’s been amazing, very patient, knowledgeable, humorous and engaging. Jo made me feel very comfortable especially because I was in a room with all men for this course. Jo covered all learning styles which was very helpful. I’ve now completed my refresher course feeling confident.

Jo Pearson made my 3 days training in Nottingham the best training I have ever attended. She is knowledgeable, humorous and engaging. I was expecting a heavy, headache-inducing training but couldn't have been further from the truth, I am feeling confident in the knowledge I've gained and had a genuinely good time while learning. I recently completed a 2 day course in Preston for Mental health first aid taught by Issy.

What a brilliant course!
Delivery, inclusion, knowledge provided was excellent. Not only for workplace but you can implement in your personal day to day life.
We had a very small group which personally was perfect for me and my learning preferences.
I just received notification that I passed first time so over the moon!
Issy - was great, approachable, knowledgeable and a credit to SJA! made you feel comfortable from the get go. Thank you!!

I was contacted by Curam care agency if I would like to attend a training course of first Aid and Resuscitation with St. John's Ambulance, I accepted and I was booked. The training was good, the lady who trained us was very good with practical drills, I was happy and also had an opportunity to have refreshed up again, all went well and I learnt more because she gave us a lot of time to do the drills and I would like to do more training with them because they're really qualified trainers. Excellent company.

Firstly, we had a fantastic trainer (Kevin Parsons) at the Theale location this week. Our group all got along really well with both each other & the trainer, therefore the training went very smoothly. I like how interactive it was and really do feel that I have taken away lots of knowledge, with increased confidence, on how to deal with first aid situations that may arise.

The venue was very well situated. I felt comfortable in my surroundings. The class size was just right. The structure of the course is very good. The instructor was exceptional and made me feel very together.
I will hopefully return to renew my certificate of First Aid in the Workplace with St Johns Ambulance. Thanks for a great day.

This was my second course with SJA, my first having been during covid times - once again, a superb course with excellent trainers. Scott and Colin in the Ipswich branch are brilliant fun and extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I had a great time, and picked up lots of valuable information and skills to be utilised in my workplace (although we hope they'll never be needed, of course).
Be prepared to spend time on your knees or flat on the floor during training and assessments!
The pace of the course was perfect, and the trainers check that you're okay to be assessed each time. I thoroughly recommend SJA if you need a first aid qualification. Thanks Scott and Colin!

What could have been a mundane course turned out to be two days of enjoyment while being refreshed and taught the latest techniques.
A bonus was that the other members of the class I joined were a pleasure to work with.
Ruth, our instructor answered each and every question put to her in a very knowledgeable and easy to understand way, even when I forgot a very basic breathing check she guided me in a way that makes me believe I shan't forget in the future.
Plus her explanations of real life events that she had personally dealt with really brought home the need to participate in the teaching sessions.
I look forward to my next update.

Very positive training and skills for life.
It was my 2nd training with St.John Ambulance as a First Aid.
The Trainer very profesional and got a lot of tips which might help in future dealing with casualties.
What is more practial part of the course was great and beneficial.
