Hopeless, look for other navigation

I have several premium lifetime license from Sygic, now you have to pay for voice guiding for a long time. Also when I drove in Italy to a wedding in Toscane, they send me via an a steep narrow hill downwards with some difficult corners (even no paved road option was on), with no space to pass an upcoming car. Luckily I have some off road skills. When tou have no experience it could be dangerous when your car is not suitable for this kind of road. Also Sygic completely for lost in a small village near the end destination with roundabouts and had problems rerouting. People over there hardly don't speak English there. When I drove back I used Google maps and it did not offer this route back via the steep hill, just via regular roads. Sygic lost my trust as a satiafied customer in the past. Never again.

I agree with poor reviews on this…

I agree with poor reviews on this product. Thought I'd give it a go after Co-Pilot & Tom Tom Truck both of which were fine. Sygic Premium with traffic failed early on. 1. My speed was not showing. 2. Speed limits were wholly wrong, not detected, out by 20 mph or so slow to change, a mile may have been covered before altering. If you missed a speed sign then Sygic is not there to help. Three months of trying to communicated by e mail (no phone number) have resulted in no suggested remedies other than their team will look into it. I tried a reinstall but it made no difference. Motorhome with trailer using an iphone on 18.1.1 with a wifi Carpuride screen travelling Europe.
So back to Tom Tom Truck & all working well. I paid for a service not provided by Sygic. Asked for a refund which was ignored. Although recommended by a HGV driver my experience was very poor & I would advise against buying.

Don't buy. Everything costs money

You might think you have a working edition when you buy Premium, but NO!!!.

I bought the Premium version, lifetime, I bought caravan version, and hoped everything was working, but when I should use it, I found out that Android Auto also costs money. You have to buy an additional version for that too.
Everything single thing in Sygic costs money, money, money.
Don't buy
I will go back to Google Maps.

Does not have up to date maps. Major sites missing.

Does not have up to date maps. They did not even have the major hospital in the area, or fair grounds. No refund for canceling. They want you to get them the mall information so they can improve. Don't answer emails except to ask you to go out and do the research.

Paid for lifetime-licence

Paid for lifetime-licence. Sygic removed voice-guided navigation in an attempt to force loyal customers to upgrade to Premium+. App is now useless. This is a company that don't care much about it's customers and the CEO Martin Strigač doesn't understand that lifetime means lifetime.

Buyer beware

Beware this company doesn't use third party's to sell their software. All financial transactions are carried out in-house. When I tried to cancel an online purchase, I was met with complete silence. Only managed to get the refund months later by going through PayPal dispute process.

Forget the lights - Nobody's home!

Whilst the mapping software has some advantages over Google Maps and others, their customer service does not! IT DOESN'T EXIST!

Mostly you with never receive a reply! In the rare event you do, it will be worthless and irrelevant !

Have you ever seen the advert where someone passes an empty office where the telephone is ringing? That's Sygic! No one there to respond to enquiries or complaints!

Appalling and disgusting!

Too many mistakes at the moment

At the moment it is awful because it is a major problem when mistakes happen. Two major issues today highlight common problems. First when selecting a place it finds it but the directions do jot take us there. Second it says turn right but it is wrong because the map shows left. Even though the maps are updated they are still incorrect. It is obvious places changed long ago but the map has not.

Scammy company & terrible, non functional app

Scammy company. No help desk, keep charging extra for even the smallest of features.

They keep pushing out marketing emails about how great their Sygic navigation app is, or how you should buy the lifetime subscription for the Sygic Truck/RV navigation app.

Once purchased the app simply does not work, and if it sometimes decided to not crash it is the poorest designed app you can imagine, as if made by a 10-year old having their first stab at creating an app.

A couple of years ago they used to be good, a breath of fresh air in the world of navigation app. Now they smelled money, only invest in marketing campaigns and drop you once you finished your purchase.

Stay away from this company and their apps.

Whatever you do -DON’T BUY THIS

Whatever you do -DON’T BUY THIS. It would be zero but then you can’t write a review 😡 tried trial of motorhome satnav didn’t work with CarPlay. Bought premium version - did “work” ish. But wouldn’t fully complete the announcements. Just got back from France/Germany where it would just crash. Paid for traffic too. Had to rely on Google and hope there were no low bridges etc. Absolute rubbish. Tried the Help to resolve issues - no use.

Driving in a city as Kuala Lumpur with…

Driving in a city as Kuala Lumpur with Sygic is absolute hell, how can an app be made that stupid, once you have multiple layers of road, this app totally freaks out, it flips between roads all the time and you will get lost in no time. How come an app does not know on which road I am driving, especially when driving on a highway, this does not make sense at all. Please put some ai in this app, an app should know on which road I am driving by collecting the locations I was minutes before.

As greed increased they fell lower and lower. I replaced them with Waze.

I was one of the early supporters of the company and bought a number of licenses for my family. Unfortunately, over time, the app couldn't keep up with new developments. They turned greedy and started to force a subscription model solely for Android Auto functionality. So, just to connect to Android Auto, you need to pay an annual fee on top of what we already paid. As a result, all of us have now switched to Waze, which is completely free, has great maps, and offers really helpful real-time community warnings.

It doesn’t work on Car play

Had the trial version of the truck, motorhome & Caravan app, which only works on the mobile phone. It seemed to be a good app for navigating, but having to keep looking at the phone while driving wasn’t good, so I upgraded to have it integrate into my CarPlay.
What a mistake & a waste of money that was, as the app doesn’t seamlessly integrate into car play at all, and I’m still having to look at the phone for directions!
I’ve tried emailing their customer support 3 x times and not once have they replied back.
I’d really like them to refund me for this totally useless licence.

Their nagware in purchasing premium…

Their nagware in purchasing premium plus is like a virus you can't get rid of it. I was another sucker that bought the premium lifetime then had it downgraded to a lower value with a new premium which it constantly nags you to upgrade to.

Crap Scam Company, Avoid at all costs

App seemed quite promising in the beginning, but became unreliable and unresponsive. Tried contacting “customer service”. Total waste of time, ignored my requests for assistance despite paying for premium. Scam Company. Avoid at all costs. Try Magic Earth instead, totally free and much better.

Once great app has gone downhill

Sygic RV Navigation used to be a great app, and I've recommended it to many people, but not any more. I (foolishly) paid for 3 years of map updates in October 2022 - I have not had 1 update since then. Then a few days ago it told me my subscription had expired (what happened to 3 years?). It continually prompts me to buy what I've already paid for. I contacted customer services, eventually to be told to send screen shots.
Sygic has definately gone downhill and I will be cutting my losses and probably go to Co-pilot.

Problem when GPS signal lost

I like that you only need internet when planning the route. Once saved its good to go without internet.
However a problem arrises when you loose gps signal (happens too often) and when it's restored it reboots the route. This would be fine if it remembered where you're been because it shows routes to both the next and the previous waypoint, highlighting more than one route and making it totally confusing. I'd prefer if it used some internet data to store where you'd been and continuing where you left off when gps signal is restored.
