DO NOT BUY "hand painted" whiskey…

DO NOT BUY "hand painted" whiskey bottle!!! Received mine last night after several weeks and it's horrible. It looks like a decal. I'm actually embarrassed to give it as a gift and now too late to get something else by Christmas. I emailed them and the blocked me. This is a scam. For $50 a sticker on an empty bottle is not worth a penny!

Absolutely rubbish

Absolutely rubbish. Used it for about 9 weeks (3 holidays in the Uk, over 18 month time period) and it started to fall apart. The material was like tissue paper, so we sent it back to Vango. They said that it was due to the sun’s UV radiation that caused it. Don’t you think that you would have used a material that could withstand this or do I pitch it in a barn. Didn’t replace it or even apologised for such a bad experience . Would not recommend at all.

4 months wait for replacement

My self-inflating mattress turned out to be faulty and Vango said it would get replaced within a couple of weeks. Then they messaged me saying they didn't have one in stock and I'd need to wait another 4 months for a replacement - no option for a refund. When I said I wanted to send a complaint, I was told there was told there was no one else I could complain to. Horrible service and not something you'd expect from a company like Vango.

Replacement Faros III awning

Big fans of Vango, so disappointed when our brand new Faros III Air Low awning leaked rain at internal point where tension straps and bar join the forward point of roof above door. Originally told it would be six weeks to assess but provided video evidence and lots photos that enabled Beata at Vango to exchange the faulty awning within a week without reiteration. First time we've ever needed it but good quick replacement service.

Top quality gear which lasts

Have a number of Vango products including 2 of the TC (Technical Cotton) range tents, chairs, lighting and holdall. Whilst I have never had cause to contact Vango for customer service so cannot comment, but my gear has never let me down and has always been high quality so this is a massive plus. Customer service seems to be a common complaint but I find this to be an issue with a number of manufacturers in the field. You'd hope Vango would be leaders in the industry in this respect as well as products. I've had no personal experience but will continue to purchase Vango gear on strength of products.

No customer service

I recently bought vango sunbeam flexi lights, and having used them twice they failed. I contacted Vango warranty department via their website and received an automated response. No follow up has been received.

Great stove for car-camping, too heavy for hiking.

Vango is well known for solid, no-nonsense camp gear and the Roar stove exemplifies this. Robust and well-engineered, it can easily support heavy, wide pans and, with its strong 3600 watts output, is perfect for car-camping or large groups. Not ideal for backpacking or solo use, though, as it weighs a hefty 585 grams, four times the smaller and less robust OEX Vulcan stove which can produce a similar 3000 watts or over three times the weight of the excellent 4-season Kovea Spider. Used appropriately, you will love it.

Bought a Vango California pop top…

Bought a Vango California pop top mattress last year . Can’t remember which company I bought it from so don’t have the receipt. They are guaranteed for 2 years and unfortunately the warranty isn’t valid due to lack of receipt . One of the valves has popped out and isn’t fixable ! Very disappointing so guess I’ll now need to buy another . Didn’t see any reviews that this had happened to
Others . When I messaged Vango they were unable to help. Not great customer service .

This tent is good until winds are 65mph

First time using the tent in the peak District at a site near castleton, gale force winds and torrential rain it held up pretty well all through the night pretty solidly. Got to 8am and it had had enough and one of the poles bent and one of em snapped and we had to pack everything away as it collapsed. Is a pretty sturdy tent until winds are gusting 65mph, would recommend for any use in calm to moderate weather, easy to put up with 2 people but for worse weather conditions tunnel tents aren't ones to use. (or just pitch it a bit closer to a wall)

Really disappointed in lack of customer support

Really disappointed, I have bought so many products over the years and recently bought the embrace chair at the camping and motorhome show at the NEC. It hasn't even lasted 6 months for a £90 chair. Contacted them as the stand was selling all Vango products but told point blank it wasn't them selling so they're not interested! I said surely they have a responsibility to sell something fit for purpose and they just replied with a link to the which site and that's it. If that's what passes as customer service then I won't be buying their products further.

I bought a Vango Galli CC Air Mid…

I bought a Vango Galli CC Air Mid awning for my Sprinter campervan. The Vango write up says it is suitable for the Sprinter. When you open the sliding side door, the door hits the awning before fully opening,,through time the material will wear away and tear. This is quite an expensive awning and i don't think i will get years of use out of it

Shangri-la mattress

We have a Shangri-la mattress which we’ve used a few times a year for 5 years. While we love it (it has been soo comfy) it no longer inflates so isn’t usable anymore. This doesn’t seem like a long enough lifespan, especially given the high purchase price, and I feel really awful putting it into landfill!! Do you have any ways to fix or repair these mattresses or can you suggest ways to reuse /repurpose it to keep it out of landfill?

We have a VANGO Microlite Deluxe Chair…

We have a VANGO Microlite Deluxe Chair which we have really enjoyed using - it's easy to put up - comfortable to sit on - and lightweight.
Noticed we had lost a rubber foot cover :(
VANGO CAMPING SPARES were extremely helpful, sent me a replacement and now the chair is all complete again and ready for our next adventure!

Never get a vango

I've always had vango tents and been a big fan but we just got the Lismore 600XL Poled Tent and the quality is shocking. It ruined our first family camping holiday.

During the initial set up one of the elasticed peg points fell off under no pressure. The a pole snapped but putting each one up you could hear them all straining. Got the tent up with a broken but repaired pole and there were no bedrooms inside or in the bag just some room dividers.

I'll never buy a vango product again. Took it back to decathlon where we got it and they exchanged it for an air tent which was just incredible and comes with a 5 year guarantee. The vango only has a 2 year warranty, but you would need to send it back after every pitch because it is just cheap.

Karen in customer service responded quickly.

Karen in customer service responded quickly to my awning problem and arranged for the awning to be returned.
We only had a 2 week window before we were away again.
Within 48 hours Beata emailed me with the offer of a brand new replacement awning to be shipped the following day. 1st class customer service.

Customer Service

Our Vango awning developed a problem and Karen in customer service was brilliant. All resolved very quickly and communication was first class. We have two Vango awnings (large and medium) and I will buy again when the time comes knowing the service level behind their products. Thanks again to Karen.

Vango Airhub Hexaway 2 low

Vango Airhub Hexaway 2 low. Brought earlier this year as loved the design & space great for 2 people. Big mistake buying an awning without the sewn in groundsheet, despite trialing at home several times the best way to make sure a good fit when the groundsheet & carpet are fitted we still had issues even in the slightest wind & shower with water seeping in & the carpet becoming quite wet. OK in dry weather otherwise terrible very disappointed.

Vango Galaxy 300 for bike packing comfort

Our Vango Galaxy 300 has proved to be an ideal tent for 2 on our cycle trip along the Elbe from the sea to source over 5 weeks.. We especially like the foyer keeping us dry in wet weather. We have added a few extra elastic guys to stop the rain getting onto the foyer groundsheet. We can also secure the bikes in the vestibule.

Galli cc 1 storm Noah 0

Our Galli cc awning stood up to everything storm Noah threw at us over the Easter hols on the Gower
Only improvement would have been standard issue of rock pegs instead of the smooth pegs supplied. To be fair though it stood tall inspite of the gale force winds and the only 2 awnings left up on site were Galli's!

Reply from Vango

Delighted to hear of your positive experience and I am glad Noah didn't come out on top. Thank you for your feedback on the pegs, I will feed this back to the product team.
