Lyon supports the 47th WorldSkills Competition
In the context of WorldSkills Lyon 2024, the Rhône Prefecture, the Metropole of Lyon and the City of Lyon organized a series of dedicated events to encourage the discovery of skills.
The Sports & Skills exhibition
Until 16 September 2024, on the gates of the Rhône Prefecture, the Sports & Skills exhibition was developed by WorldSkills Lyon 2024, which received the “Grande Cause Nationale” label from the French Ministry of Sports and the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Village des Métiers (Skills Village)
As part of the hosting of the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 Competition, the Metropole of Lyon, the City of Lyon and WorldSkills France opened a Village des Métiers from 11 to 14 September 2024 at Place Bellecour, alongside the Competition, which took place at Eurexpo Lyon. On the agenda: information stands, events and demonstrations centered on the discovery of 8 skills families: Arts and Crafts, Humanity and Care, From Garden to Plate, Tourism and Mobility, Industry and New Technologies, Communications and Digital, Construction and Building, and Ecological Transition.
The Journées Portes ouvertes (Company Open Days)
From 13 to 14 September 2024, companies in the Metropole of Lyon opened their doors to the general public, giving visitors the opportunity to discover or rediscover careers, talk to professionals and visit unusual locations. The Open Days were free and open to all!
