I typically can’t handle any kind of suspense in a book but the writing and narration were excellently matched and the story drew me in. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

What is with this author and her male narrators?! So ridiculous it made me laugh but was annoying too. Monotone is the single word I’d use to describe the male narration.

Best story-ruined it with “chapter 3”

I’ve loved this story since I was a kid!! They ruined it by breaking it into chapters. It’s just cut at set intervals, cutting off sentences and words. Even my kid asked why they keep doing that…. Great story, great narration. Awful presentation

The story was a generic rom com. Light and entertaining. The female narrator was perfect. The male narrator didn’t really suit the character BUT i thoroughly enjoyed him. His narration of the female character had me in stitches.😂 He sounded more like he was narrating a stereotypical gay man (while speaking a female part). It was hysterical and made the story that much more enjoyable

Love the story. The narration was very hard to listen to. It was over the top during any emotional sections in the book. Cringey is a good word. It made me laugh sometimes but by the end I was just rolling my eyes.

Loved this book! The characters and story were emotionally gripping. I’ve listened to lots of world war 2 books and this was yet a different take on it. I gave the performance 4 stars because although the voices and accent were great, you can hear dry/sticky (?) mouth sounds from the narrator (like swallowing, licking of lips, maybe smacking lips. Like his mouth is dry and sticking together) Quite unpleasant with headphones in
