Too Sensational for me...
The President single-handedly saving the world all by himself by sneaking out under cover - I don't think so. The premise is foolish and way too hard to believe. I was hoping for more.

Dennis Quaid should stick to acting
The gravelly, marbles in mouth diction of Dennis Quaid was really distracting. I found it relieving when he wasn’t reading/speaking certain chapters.

Good plot, weak doalogy
Caprivatong start. Long through the middle, a good plot twist, political at the finished. I like Bill Clinton. but didnt need his philosophy in a final speech. I thought it took a pretty good book abd made it a politc treatice.

Dennis Quaid was the best reader for this book.
captivating story. well written. believable.thoroughly enjoyed every chapter. kudos to Clinton, Patterson, and Denis Quaid.

Enough twists to keep me coming back but...
Story-wise I quite enjoyed this. The internal machinations within the White House and senior leadership was absolutely fascinating. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat and looking forward to my next long drive so I can get some extended listening time in. I found myself trying to guess the upcoming twist only to be pleasantly surprised to be wrong.
Now for the main issue that almost had me shelve this book - Dennis Quaid's narrating voice, and the voice he uses for the President's dialogue is absolutely ear-grating. The story kept me coming back but everything narrated from the President's point of view almost lost me as Quaid sounds like he's struggling to bring up something caught in his throat as he's speaking and can't quite dislodge it. What keeps the Performance level above a 1 is the fact that I quite enjoyed the other narrators, particularly January LaVoy.
Overall, it's an engaging story, but the fact that over half the narrative is delivered with a sub-par narrating voice may be too much for some people. Would I listen to it again? Probably. The plot, as mentioned before, is very strong. #Audible1
