Story
1828. Robin Swift, orphaned by cholera in Canton, is brought to London by the mysterious Professor Lovell. There, he trains for years in Latin, Ancient Greek, and Chinese, all in preparation for the day he’ll enroll in Oxford University’s prestigious Royal Institute of Translation—also known as Babel. Babel is the world's center for translation and, more importantly, magic. Silver working—the art of manifesting the meaning lost in translation using enchanted silver bars—has made the British unparalleled in power, as its knowledge serves the Empire’s quest for colonization.

the narrator(s) is/are wonderful and bring life to the characters. The story is touching, riveting, and deep. Excellent production. The author's ability to dive deep into emotions, thoughts, and actions shines bright when they matter the most. It was one of the most engaging stories I've had the privilege to listen to on Audible.

Story
Centuries before the events of A Game of Thrones, House Targaryen - the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria - took up residence on Dragonstone. Fire & Blood begins their tale with the legendary Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the Iron Throne, and goes on to recount the generations of Targaryens who fought to hold that iconic seat, all the way up to the civil war that nearly tore their dynasty apart.

great listen

Narrator was really good, clear, and nice to listen to. The story was great, as it mirrored the other history piece by Martin, but goes into a few more vivid details that no doubt will be a great basis for the visuals of the show. Just remember, this is a tie in, a septon's telling vs the show that is supposed to be the actual events as they were. Well done.
