The book is fairly basic and has only had very basic communication skills thus far.
The narration feels like AI, and not good AI. Words are mispronounced, and the cadence is off.

Story
Since September 11, 2001, the Western world has been preoccupied with Islam and its role in terrorism. Yet, public debate about the faith is polarized. One camp praises "the religion of peace", while the other claims all Muslims are terrorists. Canadian human rights activist Yasmine Mohammed believes both sides are dangerously wrong. In Unveiled: How Western Liberals Empower Radical Islam, Yasmine speaks her truth as a woman born in the Western world yet raised in a fundamentalist Islamic home. Despite being a first-generation Canadian, she never felt at home in the West.

Made it to chapter four and there was no mention of any of the benefits or possitive traits. An ongoing list of how the "mental disorder" only causes problems. Repeats the worse case over and over.

Who morns for the gorgonopsids?
Reviewed: 2018-09-13
The rise of the dinosaurs begins with the worst extinction event our planet has experienced. Did the gorgonopsids look around at a world "designed" with them in mind?
The world of the Permian ends with the eruption of most of what is now Siberia - wiping out 90 percent of all life on our planet. Soon (just 200,000 years), the first small dinosaurs begin their rise to dominance.
It is a great book written by a man who knows his Tyrannosaurs, and helps you get to know your dinosaur neighbours. They have not all died yet...

Awesome series
Reviewed: 2018-09-13
This is an excellent series with a great plot.
There is both a female and male lead - which is great, in part because characters are complex and the female lead is strong and believable.
Side note; as an atheist the discussion of religion in the book is very well done. From both the believer and non-believer perspective. The heretic atheist is a side character, but one that is thoughtful and well represented. It is interesting to see an atheist exist and function in a world where magic also exists.

Story
Since Darwin's day, we've been told that sexual monogamy comes naturally to our species. Mainstream science - as well as religious and cultural institutions - has maintained that men and women evolved in families in which a man's possessions and protection were exchanged for a woman's fertility and fidelity. But this narrative is collapsing....

The book presents an interesting claim about our evolutionary history.
It is a thought provoking book - I am unsure if I fully accept the conclusion but, the author is fairly convincing.
Worth a read if for no other reason than to learn about how other cultures approach sex and monogamy.

Story
A list of the attributes that define a mammal is a ragbag of things - fur, live birth, three bones in the middle ear, a brain whose two halves are robustly joined together.... But this curious collection of features contain the roots of all the biology that makes us what we are: monkeys with massive brains who parent extensively, enjoy sport and think lots. Which is to say, what makes us mammals makes us human.
