Terrible narration ruined the story

I powered through this audiobook because the story was interesting. The voice acting was terrible. The cadence was off making it hard to follow because the conversations didn’t follow a natural vocal pattern and the different tones and accents used to differentiate between characters were often shrill and hard on the ears. I’d read the paper copy of this book to enjoy the story though.

I really enjoyed how the book parallelled real life scenarios with true life lessons given to us by the Bible.

There is nothing I disliked about this set of stories. I am looking forward to more in the series.

I am enjoying the plot line in the story arc. However, I couldn’t finish listening to the book because the narrator’s inconsistent cadence and lack of discernable voice differentiation made it very confusing and hard to follow.

I really enjoyed the first two stories in this set of Novellas. The last story was interesting, but I couldn’t finish it because the narrators voice was so grating, with a weird breathy whiny quality that I was unable to continue to listen to.

Well that’s an interesting podcast for sure gg I like hamburgers so ya well anyway yesterday I was sitting on my bed outside in the shower and that’s when I realized both my hands were gone so I picked up my phone and called my dentist and said I like hamburger meat but that’s when I realized it was time to go to bed and set goodnight to my lightbulb and that’s when I realized both my LEGS we’re gone and that is why you should always wear pants

This book is excellent. The science behind what your mind is, how it differs from your physical brain, what thoughts are and what you can do to literally rewrite your thoughts and emotions has been a revelation. Understanding that thoughts are a physical object that we can manipulate to a cellular level and not just ethereal concepts has completely turned my understanding of trauma, ruminating thought patterns and habit formation on its ear. I am so grateful to have found this incredibly informative book that is packed full of actionable concepts and tangible, science based explanations.
