Story
Marvel Entertainment was a moribund toymaker not even twenty years ago. Today, Marvel Studios is the dominant player both in Hollywood and in global pop culture. How did an upstart studio conquer the world? In MCU, beloved culture writers Joanna Robinson, Dave Gonzales, and Gavin Edwards draw on more than a hundred interviews with actors, producers, directors, and writers to present the definitive chronicle of Marvel Studios and its sole ongoing production, the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Good, but bizarre story order
Reviewed: 2025-01-15
One of the three authors is mainly there for narrative flow. For the life of me, I don't know what he did. The order is completely nonsensical. it starts with the early days of Marvel Studios, then consistently becomes inconsistent like they were picking movies out of a hat, missing several of them along the way. I spent more of my time with the book trying to understand the order than the book itself.

One of the best audiobooks.

A very calming narrator who's very good with voices, especially Ros, who's near-identical to the film, and of course the Google Assistants and Alexas its based on. The story is really great, and the music and sounds add a lot to the already impressive production. I really hope this raises a new standard for audiobooks.
