Story
Every beat of my heart is the tick of a time bomb, reminding me to squeeze as many thrills out of life as I can. A horde of nightmarish monsters jumping me in the middle of the night? Nope, that's too much even for me. So when three demonic figures leap out of the shadows to my defense, my choices are trust my unexpected champions... or die. Not exactly a tough decision. The beastly men wrench me away from my home, claiming they'll keep me safe. They say there's something special about me—something the others want to devour and they mean to protect.

I find Quin's thoughts a little verbose. And the female narrator a little too wispy sounding at times.
Meanwhile, Aiden Snow is definitely one of my favorites and I still have no complaints about his narration.

Story
I was starting to think I knew what I was dealing with at the university, best known as Villain Academy. I’d come to believe that by owning my role as the last remaining Bloodstone, I could change this place for the better. Then, a series of shocking revelations turns everything I believed on its head. The other scions have my back now, with all the trouble that's brought them. How much more will they have to sacrifice before we can find some kind of peace?

The passion is undeniable. SO easy to get caught up in the story with these narrators.
The story of really good too, of course, even if I AM ready to move on a little before the final chapters. It's been a wonderfully series and SO TOTALLY WORTH IT!!

Didn't feel rushed. Tied up loose ends. Really good plot.
Still really disliked the narrator. Sometimes you get used to okay-level narration, but I found it annoying and choppy until the very end. Oh well.

Story
My grandfather still wants me dead, especially after I foiled his plot to annihilate the shifter race. He's planning revenge - not just against me, but also my mates and our unhatched eggs. I can't help but be suspicious when the fae claiming to be my father suddenly wants to be part of my life, forcing my mates and me to follow him to the mystical fae realm, a mysterious place that leaves me with more questions than answers and fills my heart with dread. If we survive the fae, an even darker fate awaits us.

The cliff hangers are SO GOOD.
I still disliked the choppiness of the narrators voice but she's pretty good at most of the character voices. I found this one less exciting than the first, but still liked it. Maybe I've tired of this narrator.

After my magical academy is razed by my grandfather's mages, I'm left with no choice but to trust my life to three rebel dragon shifters with a penchant for mischief and devastating smiles. But how can I learn to trust them when everyone I've ever loved has betrayed me? And even if our mutual attraction overcomes the test of immortal prejudice, we still need to survive the advancing witch army, whose wands are armed with the unbreakable curse. Hopefully, I can figure out how to unlock the powerful siren voice inside me before it's too late.

Super complex with so many different simultaneous story lines. Interesting characters, even though some scenes were quite disturbing.
The narrator did a good job with the character voices, but the in-between narration is quite annoying at times. This might bother some people more than me, so I would recommend listening to the preview before purchase. I really do love the plot though, so totally worth the read for me.

Karis Begay is the only surviving heir to the Begay wolves of the Alaskan Pack. Someday she will take her place as Pack Mother, which is a lifelong burden she has always carried with pride. It kept her isolated from others and hesitant to let anyone close to her. As she enters her freshman year at Archibald Reynolds College, no one knows who she is or who she is destined to become. It's a chance at a fresh start, and just maybe...the beginning of something new.

Fraternity and Sorority college life. Main female character is super girly and naive (immature due to her age and lack of real-world experiences).
The story lacks depth and is over all far too rushed. I think if it was drawn out more with more thorough writing if might get more emotion from the narrators, too.
Also, female voice isn't a good fit for such a young girl.

Story
When I first woke up in the land of the Gryphons, I had one goal: getting back home. I was so focused on figuring out how to leave that I got myself exiled from the Hidden, captured by the Avowed, and managed to claim not one, but three mates. Although I had no idea about that last one until it was too late. Oh right, and then, I almost died.

I read The Lost Sentinel series first, which takes place immediately prior to this story of the griffins. I didn't know this was in any way part of the same world as that group of characters (though, it makes perfect sense that it is) when I started this series. They are not a huge part of the current story per se, but it's still just SO cool to hear the mention of my favorite badasses!

Story
I am a latent wolf shifter. Or so I thought. Then, life as I knew it changed in a flash - or more accurately, an electrocution. I’ve woken up in a strange place, surrounded by strange people who hate me. They’re in the middle of a war, and I look like I belong on the wrong side of it. If that’s not enough to qualify as a really bad day, I now have wings and a strange animal to figure out because it turns out that there’s not a damn latent thing about me.

I'm not a fan of the lispy-sounding narrator. But the recording quality might make it worse. She's not good at men's voices, though. And most of the main characters are men.

See title. So much happens. This series is awesome, and I wish there was more to read. The lives of all the characters are set up so nicely and their future plans sound exciting.
The narration for this series is quite awesome, too. She does an awesome job of making everyone sound distinct. That must be difficult with So Many characters always being together in a conversation. Yeah, sometimes I have to figure out who's talking and then backtrack to re-imagine the conversation with the correct faces, but I'm still thoroughly pleased.
