Story
Once, there were four worlds, nestled like pages in a book, each pulsing with fantastical power and connected by a single city: London. Until the magic grew too fast and forced the worlds to seal the doors between them in a desperate gamble to protect their own. The few magicians who could still open the doors grew more rare as time passed and now, only three Antari are known in recent memory鈥擪ell Maresh of Red London, Delilah Bard of Grey London, and Holland Vosijk, of White London.

I love this world!
Reviewed: 2024-04-07
There was a lot going on in this book. The old gang is back and some knew very interesting characters added to the story. I am now heavily invested in this world the author has built. I will definitely be doing a re-read before the next book is rewritten and released.
The audiobook was excellent!

This is Jonah and Fox story. I found their angst and issues to be fairly realistic, as well as their reactions. The 馃敟scenes maybe not quite so realistic, but still hot. The mystery was pretty good too.

I really enjoyed this second chance, lost love romance with a bunch of intrigue.
There were some editing issues.

This pulled me right out of the story because I was laughing so hard.

This was an enjoyable listen a bit cringey at times with the looking up strangers addresses etc but I can overlook it. Either the author is brilliant and intentionally wrote this using a plethora of the most hilariously bad metaphors or they are accidentally badly brilliant. I honestly can’t tell which.
Not the most upbeat but a more realistic and human look at the holiday season than the majority of the Christmas fiction out there. I still enjoyed it even though it was quite sad at times.
