Story
The world has changed in so many ways, and many of us no longer feel confident when it comes to evangelism, especially with the rise of hostility toward Christian points of view. Keeping quiet is becoming our default position. Yet the world has not changed in one way: It still needs Jesus. Renowned evangelist Becky Pippert draws on decades of conversations about Christianity around the world to call and equip ordinary Christians to share Jesus through their ordinary day-to-day conversations.

refreshingly good perspective of evangelism...less Bible thumping and more actually caring about people and relationships. love that the author comes from a non Christian background so she has a lot of empathy for the unsaved 👌

Story
In what may be Dickens's best novel, humble, orphaned Pip is apprenticed to the dirty work of the forge but dares to dream of becoming a gentleman - and one day, under sudden and enigmatic circumstances, he finds himself in possession of "great expectations." In this gripping tale of crime and guilt, revenge and reward, the compelling characters include Magwitch, the fearful and fearsome convict; Estella, whose beauty is excelled only by her haughtiness; and the embittered Miss Havisham, an eccentric jilted bride

Story
Dr. Barry Corey, president of Biola University, believes we tend to devalue the importance of kindness, opting instead for caustic expressions of certainty that push people away. We forget that the essence of what God requires of us is to "love kindness". In this book, filled with stories from his travels around the globe, Barry shows us the forgotten way of kindness. It is a life that calls us to put ourselves at risk. A life that calls us to hope. A life of a firm center and soft edges. It is the life Christ invites us to follow, no matter what the cost.

I appreciated a lot about this book. I don't regret the purchase or the time put into listening to it. The messages were overall good. My thoughts were provoked and my perspective made better. Overall good, not great or stellar. This isn't a book that I phoned my Mom about or became super excited over.

Even with a more traditional background, I enjoyed thinking outside of the box along with Julie and brainstorming for ideas I can actually apply. It would be difficult for ANYONE to get through this book and not be excited to proceed with homeschooling, mind brimming with ideas and motivating! Wonderful book and nice to hear the author's own voice!

In general, this was a cute book. It was written well, but slow. Copeous amounts of time describing things that didn't matter to the story, yet my kids enjoyed it overall.
I was very disappointed that this book was broken up into 6 very long chapters instead of 14, the the print copy. My kids were unable to use it easily for their book study since the chapters were unclear, and the long chapters we fumbly to pick a start and end point for each session.
