Story
For too long had the Vth Legion ranged out beyond the sight of the wider Imperium, remaining ignorant of the Warmaster's rebellion and the war that inevitably followed. Only once their primarch, Jaghatai Khan, had satisfied himself that the path before them was just and true did the White Scars choose a side, taking the fight to the traitors on every front.

Was quite boring nothing happening till the last act where the acts before kinda just did not matter. Scars is a better read for getting into the white scars. Performance was meh until the final battle and then it picks up.

Story
Of all the Legiones Astartes, the White Scars of Jaghatai Khan remain the most enigmatic and elusive. Born of a civilisation that prizes honour, speed and fearsome loyalty, their allegiance has yet remained unclear even as the galaxy is torn apart by Horus's treachery, and both sides have apparently counted them among their potential allies in the war to come.

Solid overall but only issue was it was hard to follow as alot of the characters did sound the same and there was no clear break inbetween the switching of chapter stories

Prospero does not burn in this book
Reviewed: 2023-11-11
90% of this book was building up how cool and ferocious the space wolves are only to arrive in prospero in the last hour and to be told without sisters and custodes they would have lost. You get told the conclusion of russ vs magnus and there is little disposition about the actual war on prospero. Unless you like space wolf disposition skip on this one.

Custodes are poorly written
Reviewed: 2022-12-08
More political based than the first book. The fights involving custodes are quite poorly written.
