Story
As the mists roll over the fens and enigmatic lights twinkle in the distance, only the locals know their way along the hidden paths through the mysterious watery terrain of one of England's most beautiful and sometimes dangerous places. Detective Matt Ballard may have retired but there's still plenty going on in the fens to keep him busy. Someone trashes an old lady's garden and daubs her isolated cottage with hateful graffiti. Emilia Swain seems to be totally harmless, so why is she being targeted?

This series isn't as good as Jackman and Evans, it's mostly about old detectives protecting their weak women from too much excitement. got pretty tired of Will's drama.

Story
In the chaotic aftermath of World War II, American college girl Charlie St. Clair is pregnant, unmarried, and on the verge of being thrown out of her very proper family. She's also nursing a desperate hope that her beloved cousin Rose, who disappeared in Nazi-occupied France during the war, might still be alive.

fine, but predictable.

Quite predictable, the womans math was tiresome and repetitive from the start, then forgotten for half the book and brought back in at the end. Written as if the audience needed every thought and emotion explained for dummies. There were really only 2 characters in the whole book which were just repeated throughout with different names, they strived to be deep but came out dull and predictable.
