Story
When Elon Musk was a kid in South Africa, he was regularly beaten by bullies. One day a group pushed him down some concrete steps and kicked him until his face was a swollen ball of flesh. He was in the hospital for a week. But the physical scars were minor compared to the emotional ones inflicted by his father, an engineer, rogue, and charismatic fantasist.

Very interesting man
Reviewed: 2024-08-19
I'm not into biographies, but Elon Musk is such an interesting man, I had to see what he was all about.
I'm glad I listened to this audio book.
I'm normally a sci-fi kind of gal, so it took me a little bit to get used to listening to a biography, but I was interested the whole way through, and I like how it would go through a period of time, focus on one topic, then go through another topic within the same time frame, like it would focus on what Elon was doing at Tesla, move on to Space X and so on.
I don't know how Elon and people like him fit/cram so much stuff into one day! I'm super productive if I go to work, get groceries and do housework all in the same day... lol

Story
This is the way the world ends...for the last time. It starts with the great red rift across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash that blots out the sun. It starts with death, with a murdered son and a missing daughter. It starts with betrayal, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester. This is the Stillness, a land long familiar with catastrophe, where the power of the Earth is wielded as a weapon. And where there is no mercy.

This is a good book.
You just have to go in knowing that Richard, Kahlan, and the gang, are not in this book for the most part, if you can get past that, this book is very exciting!
I enjoyed it very much!

Great performance as always by Scott Brick, but storey line felt similar in a way to a previous Fargo adventure, and seemed a little more predictable than the norm.
I hope the lead up to the next book in the series blows the socks off of this one!

some of the things that are going on in this book are very relevant to this day, and makes me wonder how our future will really be like with how Social Media has taken over our lives, and continues to do so.
I enjoyed listening to this book, it is well written, and keeps you wanting more.

I laughed whenever he was reading Molly's character, that little laugh he gives her!
