Over 1 million Discworld audiobooks sold – discover the extraordinary universe of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld like never before.
Soon to be a Sky Original movie!
Maurice, a streetwise tomcat, has the perfect money-making scam. Everyone knows the stories about rats and pipers, and Maurice has a stupid-looking kid with a pipe, and his very own plague of rats - strangely educated rats . . .
But in Bad Blintz, the little con suddenly goes down the drain. For someone there is playing a different tune and now the rats must learn a new word. EVIL. It's not a game any more. It's a rat-eat-rat world. And that might only be the start . . .
The Discworld novels can be read in any order but The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents is a standalone novel.

Just, so good....Amazing even!
This may have been written for kids but it's done in such a way that, mature readers will find little Easter eggs, just for them, spread throughout the story. Beautifully written and engaging with deep and meaningful subtext that provides a deeper understanding of our own world and the people in it. So glad I got over myself and listened to this book for kids. I feel like I just won something. Thank you, Terry.

Good fun and deep thoughts
I am a huge Terry Pratchett fan but I had never read this book since it is a children's book. How wrong was I? This is as nuanced and funny as any of the other Discworld novels and even funnier as the characters evolve and grow before your very eyes (or ears in this case)
It is a masterpiece of children's fiction that appeals to adults as well, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Sir Terry's brand of humour and cheekiness.
It is narrated very well and all the main characters have their own voice, the voices do get a bit muddled when there are many speakers in a scene but not so much as to lose the storyline.

Great story; weak narrator
As much as I’m loving these new audio books, sadly Amazing Maurice doesn’t hold up compared to the others. The story is great as always, feels as dark as a Don Bluth film, but compared to the other narrators Bakare can’t quite hold a candle. His spider is good, his Maurice is good, but all the other voices sound the same almost phoned in. A bit disappointed in this one. Shame because the story is so good
