About this listen
"The buzz...is real. I've read it and was blown away. It's a true nerve-shredder that keeps its mind-blowing secrets to the very end." (Stephen King)
Catriona Ward's The Last House on Needless Street is a shocking and immersive listen perfect for fans of Gone Girl and The Haunting of Hill House.
“The new face of literary dark fiction.” (Sarah Pinborough, New York Times best-selling author of Behind Her Eyes)
In a boarded-up house on a dead-end street at the edge of the wild Washington woods lives a family of three.
A teenage girl who isn’t allowed outside, not after last time.
A man who drinks alone in front of his TV, trying to ignore the gaps in his memory.
And a house cat who loves napping and reading the Bible.
An unspeakable secret binds them together, but when a new neighbor moves in next door, what is buried out among the birch trees may come back to haunt them all.
A Macmillan Audio production from Tor Nightfire
“A chilling and beautiful masterpiece of suspense.” (Joe Hill, New York Times best-selling author of NOS4A2)

Was not expecting that.
I'll admit I take IG recommendations with a grain of salt but this one. I'm so glad I checked it out. I couldn't stop listening, I just needed to know the ending. I kept trying to piece it together and couldn't until the end. Did not disappoint. highly recommend!!
The voice actor was incredible too. He was made for this book.

Go into this blind
After many mixed reviews it took a while to actually pull the trigger with this one. It was definitely worth the credit and best to go into this blind, it’s not what you think!!!!

This was quite an interesting read and didn't end up going where I thought it would, which made it even more enjoyable.

it gives you a new few on things
it was a great book to listing to.
the narrator did a great job to keep the characters separate and to fill the story with the right emotions.
it is difficult to talk about the book without taking away from it. I suspected a few twists while listening but the ending still took me by surprise.
my only point because I gave it 4 stars is that the book could have been done earlier.
the last 3-4 chapters were interesting but a bit dragging.
the afterwords from the author was good. it gave a bit more inside on the theme of the book.
well worth to read or listen to.
