Historia
It’s a slow, steamy summer in New Orleans’ French Quarter, but Franki Amato is busy planning her bridal shower—that is, until a hit-and-run outside a coffee shop gets her PI senses percolating. The victim is linked to crimes at a fancy society wedding in a haunted hotel where Franki’s fiancé’s family is staying. As for the java joint, it’s straight out of a hardboiled detective movie, and there’s something hinky about its walnut liqueur coffee.

Good Book
Revisado: 01-09-25
I love this series however this one is not my favorite. I thought the story was a little more convoluted than usual and there were parts I had trouble understanding how they fit in the overall story. It was funny in places and I enjoyed that. The performance was outstanding as always and I will continue to listen to future Frankie Amata stories.

Historia
When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement - a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

Any additional comments?
The book was a little confusing at times and I had some difficulty understanding the purpose of the information the author was giving but in the end most of it made sense.

Another GREAT Sophie Book
Revisado: 12-08-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This was a fun sassy great story. All the Sophie Katz's mysteries are and I would recommend reading everyone one.
What does Gabra Zackman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Gabra Zackman IS Sophie. I can't image anyone else reading me this book. She's amazing.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Until next time Sophie!!

Good story but the narrator sounded to young
Revisado: 06-29-17
Would you be willing to try another one of Bailey Carr’s performances?
Any additional comments?
The story was really good but narrator sounded very young. Too young to have had the life experiences Merry has had. It make it less believable. I'm not sure I'll continue with this series.

I read some reviews that compared it to Gilmore Girls and it really was in many ways. I loved it. The interaction between mother and daughter was priceless and funny. I can't wait to the second book to come out on audible.

As the wife of retired Navy SEAL, and the adoptive mother of two little hellions, Maggie is constantly looking for ways to improve her family's financial situation. Historia
Eve Dallas is the tough lieutenant hot on his trail, but this is unlike any case she’s ever been assigned - or any killer she’s ever pursued. A police sketch based on eye-witness testimony reveals the killer has green skin, swollen red eyes, goblin ears, and a dislocated jaw-structure that defies the human form. Is it a mask? Is it make-up? Or is the explanation more sinister? Dallas faces off against multiple suspects - all of them students of medicine capable of precisely slicing the ears, noses, and eyes of the three victims.

Another Outstanding "In Death" book from JD Robb
Revisado: 01-17-12
Would you consider the audio edition of Chaos in Death to be better than the print version?
I prefer the audio version because it's easier to get caught up in the charaters
Have you listened to any of Susan Ericksen???s other performances before? How does this one compare?
All of the JD Robb series. Next to Jim Daley, she's the best.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It did make me tear up in a couple of places
