Terrible narration

The narrator kept misprounancing all forms of the word grimace as "grimayce." It was very distracting and annoying. I would grimayce every time I heard it, and there was a lot of grimaycing in the novel. I don't understand how a professional narrator did not know how to say such a simple word correctly, and why the audible book was not edited to correct mistakes. I feel sorry for Gripando that it spoiled what was otherwise a great story.

I have read and loved every book Dean Koontz has written. This is the first time I've been disappointed. This novel is just a repackaged Odd Thomas story, but not as good. I don't know, can an author plagiarize himself?

A lot people saying nothing over and over. That stylistic gimmick got old quickly and became annoying and distracting, spoiling an otherwise excellent story. Please drop the "So and so said nothing." It doesn't add anything valuable.

The actors did a magnificent job, but the cheesy musical Interludes were annoying and unnecessary, so only 1 star for Performance. Some of them even sounded like the beginning of the Star Trek theme.
