Author " Sara Donati" and narrator "Kate Reading" really pull this great listen to you with everything I would want in an epic story. Stuck in the hospital for an extended period of time this audio book transported me to another place and time. What more could you ask for.

Graphic and very gruesome if you like this kind of crime story. Lots of twists and turns to keep you interested. I did not like the end. I don't think I will continue with this author. Loved the narration by Aoife McMahon. Too bad it ended the way it did. I don't think the next story continues with the ending.

Completed some tales that needed to be told.

I love the series and have listened to them many, many times. Deborah Harkness tell her wonderful stories and character's through the amazing Narrator of Jennifer Ikeda's mastery of voices for the characters. Saskia Maarleveld did a pretty good job with her voices, although I missed the continuing of the characters as I had heard them before.The story line seemed to abruptly change, so for me it sometimes was hard to follow with a new voice for a familiar character.
Sometimes, as Diana was in dialog, I found myself lulled to sleep and had to repeat Diana's sections more than once.
This is why I did not give the highest rating as I have on all her other books.
