needs more spicy scenes!

the first book was good but I felt that book 2 was lacking in spicy scenes. also felt that not much happened as compared to book 1.

I was glad to see Ard being a little less sparky & a little more serious when needed. my only issue is with the spicy scenes. they are not very descriptive, the MFF scene was lack luster and felt rushed. the author did not take advantage the situation to write a more in depth and descriptive interaction. a lot was left on the table there.

MC is supposed to be an alpha male leader. he's a simp at best. the author completely missed the mark. at no point does the MC take charge, have anything resembling confidence or the mental fortitude to fill this roll. a 20 year old does know the difference between his rump & a hole in the ground. should have been late twenties, possibly ex military and written to be more masculine.

the MC is written as a beta boy & the male narrator made it worse. the dialog is all superficial & hardly anything of substance. it's obviously written by someone who has very little experience with women, conversations or relationships. most of these editors & proof readers are not giving any feedback to the authors especially in this genre.
don't waste the money on this author or series. there are thousands of other books that are just like it.
Sarah Hawke, Bruce Sentar, Michael Dalton are all better at this!

zero spicy scenes!

there are two reasons I liked this series. an outstanding fantasy adventure and the smutt. 50% of this equation is missing from this book. I'll be checking the reviews on the next book before I get it. if it’s also lacking then I will not be continuing with this series.

only 2 minor issues though. 1) needs a male narrator to go along with female narrator. not Lewis Alexander though, he is horrible! 2) the "excessive" animal features on the women is a bit much. gets really close to bestiality which is disgusting!

what is wrong with the authors of this genre?

same typical tropes as ever other book in this genre! the same moronic MC that fights against every romantic interests with the power of stupidity. nearly every author of this genre does this and it needs to stop.

good story and plot but..

the MC acts like a monk for 3/4 of this story. typical author bs, kicking the relationship progression can down the street as much as possible. no single straight man can constantly pass on that many advances from gorgeous women. at one point I started wondering if he was gay. he's not but he is a bottom. and everyone knows women love their man to be a bottom (insert eye roll). the mc should be more masculine (a man's man) not this woke moron MC that most of the authors in this genre write.
so many authors force a story in certain directions instead of writing it a way that the story flows more naturally.

not really sure what this was

I really liked this series but it's seems to be going down hill at a rapid pace. nothing substantial happens. feels like the author no longer cares about the quality of the series. even the spicy scenes quality had dramatically decreased over the course of the series.
in the first few books I understood that Boyd had a lot of issues to work through which did happen. though by book 5 he thinks he knows better than any of his girls what's good for them. (spoiler) Hopewing has certain kinks/fantasies she wants/needs fulfilled. but Boyd thinks he is the end all & know it all when it comes to satisfying her or any of the girls for that matter. he may be a great hero (no doubts about this) but when it comes to his partners needs & wants he's a moron. instead of dismissing their feelings and saying you (Boyd) knows what's best (which you (Boyd/author don't) try to understand where they are coming from.
by the end of book 5 I'm no longer invested in this series.
