it would have been fine if the songs were actually song instead of read out in more or less monotone, and if the poem spell chanths weren't contant as a word filler when they really weren't necessary, but they were and became more and more of an annoyance.

It started out fine like any other fantasy story about a special MC...but then it got worse, cheesey and artificial. The book begins to read like a toddler's bedtime story instead of the epic adventure it's supposed to be, and the narrator made it even worse my OVERLY dramatizing EVERY sentence to the point of satire....no, just ...no.

first book was fine, but in this one, it felt like the author just opened a thesaurus and splattered his pages with enough gibberish to drag one big fight out for hours more than it needed to be so he didn't have to push the plot further. felt like I was listening through a massive filler.

...but then progressively retconed details that supposedly happened off screen to hamfistedly guide the plot to a unsatisfying and unrealistic ending. for a super ai who preaches efficiency to NOT prioritize information and memory recovery of some kind, just for the author to drop plot bombs with the excuse that the ai couldn't of seen it coming because of poor memory. no... just no.

Great continuation to the series, except for the repeated trope of the MC being blatantly manipulated over and over out of the blue because the author can't think of another way to move the story along. Also, one star removed for repeated cut off cliffhangers in the middle of conversations to end the books.
