Historia
For GBI investigator Will Trent and medical examiner Sara Linton, McAlpine Lodge seems like the ideal getaway to celebrate their honeymoon. Set on a gorgeous, off-the-grid mountaintop property, it’s the perfect place to unplug and reconnect. Until a bone-chilling scream cuts through the night. Mercy McAlpine, the manager of the Lodge, is dead. With a vicious storm raging and the one access road to the property washed out, the murderer must be someone on the mountain. But as Will and Sara investigate the McAlpine family and the other guests, they realize that everyone here is lying.

Fantastic
Revisado: 11-05-24
I rarely write anything these days, but this book was so good. I just had to express my opinion. When you get to the end and you find out who done it. It’s a surprise, but then you read on for even more surprises that you could not possibly predict. Very, very, very good now it’s one of my favorite books.

I laughed, and I cried
Revisado: 05-13-24
I have recommended this book over and over to friends. This is definitely one of my all-time favorites. I rarely listen to/read books twice, but this one I definitely have. I wanted it to have a sequel.😂😂 I am so disappointed that it does not‼️

A tribute to the women of Vietnam
Revisado: 05-13-24
Although I had family members who served in Vietnam, they were men who fortunately never saw these nurses. It gave me a greater understanding and respect for them‼️‼️ The book was true to those times and did not pull any punches. Great respect for the author who told this wonderful story.

Fell short
Revisado: 05-13-24
After all of the other books in the series, this turned out to be a disappointment! There was less time of the women’s murder club meetings. Surprise at the culprit who killed husband and wife abrupt ending to the hospital computer debacle disappointing. Ending cozy. Is this the ending?

Hate the little girl voice
Revisado: 04-11-24
The story started off pretty good, but it was spoiled by the little girl voice of the reader. The main character is an adult woman not a little girl. The story ended up hanging with no solution. These are the two reasons I rated the book as I did. The ending was very, very disappointing.‼️

Performance monotone
Revisado: 01-25-24
The story was totally undermined by the monotone performance of the reader. This will cause me to NOT listen to any further books in the series or any other books, read by this performer‼️🤮ᅣ17

Historia
Divorced from his own wife and carrying on halfheartedly with another man's, saddled with a bum knee and friends who make enemies redundant, Sully now has one new problem to cope with: a long-estranged son who is in imminent danger of following in his father's footsteps. With its uproarious humor and a heart that embraces humanity's follies as well as its triumphs, Nobody's Fool, from Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Richard Russo, is storytelling at its most generous. Nobody’s Fool was made into a movie starring Paul Newman, Bruce Willis, Jessica Tandy, and Melody Griffith.

When Benny arrived in his life, Galaxy was a down-and-out rock musician with not too much more going on than a part-time job at an animal shelter and a drug problem. Not what I thought
Revisado: 06-17-23
This book tells more about his life and how he got in the cat business and 1/5 about how to understand/deal with cats. I thought it would be the reverse and more like his TV and YouTube series. On to the next book. Maybe it will be more of what I was expecting.

Historia
One evening in 1951, an itinerant storyteller arrives unannounced at a house in the Irish countryside. In exchange for a bed and a warm meal, he invites his hosts and their neighbors to join him by the wintry fireside and begins to tell formative stories of Ireland's history. Ronan, a nine-year-old boy, grows so entranced by the storytelling that, when the old man leaves abruptly under mysterious circumstances, the boy devotes himself to finding him again.
