Historia
Sam and Sadie—two college friends, often in love, but never lovers—become creative partners in a dazzling and intricately imagined world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy, tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality. It is a love story, but not one you have heard before.

Historia
The prior record for vaccine development and distribution was approximately four-and-a-half years. Operation Warp Speed got the COVID-19 vaccine to the American people in less than ten months. Operation Warp Speed did not happen by accident. It was the result of exceptional leadership, explicit strategy, and unprecedented teamwork. Author Paul Mango, one of the key leaders of Operation Warp Speed and the former deputy chief of US Health and Human Services, chronicles the challenges of developing the vaccine.

A detailed , and insightful, overview of Operation Warp Speed
Revisado: 08-25-22
Paul Mango does an incredible job of detailing the amount of time , expertise, and thought that went into Operation Warp Speed. The Covid Pandemic was politicized in many ways, and as an outsider looking in I found it extremely interesting to learn about the people largely responsible for bringing a vaccine to the American people.
I also really appreciated the consistent theme Paul used , and his mindset. Both of which centered around “getting the job done without cutting corners” and “putting trust in the experts.” To lead an initiative during a period such as the Covid Pandemic takes passion and courage. Both of which I believe were demonstrated throughout by every service man and woman who comprised Operation Warp Speed.
I’d recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about the effort, strategies and people largely responsible for bringing a safe and effective vaccine for Covid 19 into reality.

Marty Makary delivers a powerful message that is relevant to any one who uses , or may us , healthcare in America. The message is clear , but not overly complicated with medical jargon , and each section gets right to the point. One of my favorite reads of 2022

Historia
A powerful, moving memoir - and a practical guide to healing - written by Dr. Edith Eva Eger, an eminent psychologist whose own experiences as a Holocaust survivor help her treat patients and allow them to escape the prisons of their own minds. The Choice weaves Eger's personal story with case studies from her work as a psychologist. Her patients and their stories illustrate different phases of healing and show how people can choose to escape the prisons they construct in their minds and find freedom, regardless of circumstance.

Historia
Sleep is one of the most important but least understood aspects of our life, wellness, and longevity. Until very recently, science had no answer to the question of why we sleep, or what good it served, or why we suffer such devastating health consequences when we don't sleep. Compared to the other basic drives in life - eating, drinking, and reproducing - the purpose of sleep remained elusive.

Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Historia
Darrell Huff's celebrated classic How to Lie With Statistics is a straightforward and engaging guide to understanding the manipulation and misrepresentation of information that could be lurking behind every graph, chart, and infographic. Originally published in 1954, it remains as relevant and necessary as ever in our digital world, where information is king - and as easy to distort and manipulate as it is to access.
