Historia
I just found out I have an identical twin. I’d love the idea if he wasn’t an arrogant, overconfident businessman who is determined to save my farm even though I’m in no danger of losing it. When I agreed to switch lives with him, it was supposed to be for a couple of hours. I was told to lie low, meet no one, and let him deal with the oil company that was sniffing around my property. I agreed to the switch only because it was the first time since we’d met that my twin had shown interest in my life, and I hoped it would give us a better understanding of each other.

Finding out you have a twin brother when you are an adult would be really interesting and it makes a good story.
I liked the people and watching them change as they find love and their way through tough situations.

wonderful story
Revisado: 02-28-24
This is a wonderful story of losing family and finding family and also making a new family. When Emmy's grandmother finally finds her 25 years after Emmy's mother took her away to punish Emmy's father, they connect immediately. the only problem is Emmy's mother said he wasn't the father.
This is such a wonderful story of how hurtful a childhood can be and how even damaged people can accept a brighter future and let love into their hearts.
I can't you won't like it. The audio book is great as is the narrator.

I enjoyed the story and the narrator very much. The spell casting was a minor character in the book and the plot was very good. there were several possible quilty characters and I didn't figure out who was guilty until the end.

Historia
Nestled in the mountain shadows of Alabama lies the little town of Wicklow. It is here that Anna Kate has returned to bury her beloved Granny Zee, owner of the Blackbird Café. It was supposed to be a quick trip to close the café and settle her grandmother’s estate, but despite her best intentions to avoid forming ties or even getting to know her father’s side of the family, Anna Kate finds herself inexplicably drawn to the quirky Southern town her mother ran away from so many years ago, and the mysterious blackbird pie everybody can’t stop talking about.

I loved this story about finding yourself and following your own path. It's perfect.
When her grandmother dies Anna Kate comes to take over the Blackbird Cafe for two months between college and medical school and also meets her father's parents. Her father died in an accident before Anna Kate was born and his mother blamed Anna Kate for his death.
As Anna Kate gets to know the town and her family she starts to question her future.

Great mystery
Revisado: 02-14-24
Most of the characters have been around since the series began, but the artists and galleries are new.
The mystery and the murderer was well written and there were enough characters to keep the story interesting.
There was an abundance of female characters in the story and I found the narrator's depiction of several of them off putting. Most likely it was done to differentiate each character in the book.

I know this is a story, but it's an interesting insight into what teens are like today. They have different thing to deal with, but in all essence they aren't that much different from the kids I grew up with in the 70s.
I recommend this book especially to the YA readers. I think it will resonate with them.

Historia
Lt. Eve Dallas is just home from a long overdue vacation when she responds to a call of an unattended death. The victim is Martin Greenleaf, retired Internal Affairs Captain. At first glance, the scene appears to be suicide, but the closer Eve examines the body, the more suspicious she becomes. An unlocked open window, a loving wife and family, a too-perfect suicide note—Eve's gut says it's a homicide. After all, Greenleaf put a lot of dirty cops away during his forty-seven years in Internal Affairs. It could very well be payback—and she will not rest until the case is closed.
