This book does an excellent job of guiding the reader through what does and does not make a healthy relationship. It also has a lovely outlook on how young people should view themselves and their bodies with an assertive hint to adults and schools about how to handle the confusion that strikes middle and high schoolers without damaging delicate hearts. I hope my 13 and 16 year old daughters will read this book! #relationships #teens #teenhealth #families #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

I read this book and watched the movie based on it years ago when my daughters were little. I remember thinking that when they got older and wanted to read and watch teen love stories, I would come back to this one. Later, I read John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars, and while I loved the writing style and the story, I was troubled by the stark differences in how Augustus and Jamie handle their approach to mortality, specifically how they relate to God in their short lives. I decided that when my daughters ask to read/ watch The Fault in Our Stars, I would tell them that was fine, as long as they read watched A Walk to Remember first. They are now 13 and 16 and predictably got interested in The Fault in Our Stars. I had them read A Walk to Remember first and then watch the movie. I can tell that my 13 year old was affected positively by the book and the movie. She spent all of the Thanksgiving Holiday being kind to others in our family, especially her young second cousins, who are 2 and 4 years old. #teenlovestory #healthyrelationships #terminalillness #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

I'm going to be sure to read this aloud to both of my teens before they leave for college. No one expresses the things I want them to understand about Jesus and spirituality better than Rob Bell! #religion #spirituality #bible #progressivechristianity #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

One of my favorite books of all time and now I get to share it with my daughter!

The narrator has a beautiful and expressive voice. It was a bit difficult to tell sometimes whether Gilly was saying something out loud or just thinking it to herself.
