Great resource for parents & caregivers!

As a mom of kids ages 2 and 10 (with another on the way), I found this book to be a very helpful resource for each of their age groups. I’m planning to listen to this again as there was so much valuable information, it’s a lot to take in. Though I’ll add it wasn’t an overwhelming amount. I love how they use real life scenarios, many I have been in with my own children, so the content is very relatable.

Cute but not what I expected.

I wish there were more reviews than just ratings when I purchased this... some humor was good but very repetitive and a lot of recipes. The recipes sound great but too much of the audio book was full of them and it really should have been an accompanying PDF for those who purchased the audiobook instead. Overall, I could have lived without listening to this. (And kind of bummed there’s no way to get the recipes that I’m aware of.)

Great book! Looking forward to the movie.

This was a great story that gave me many aha! moments. Being an Oregonian myself, it was easy to visualize the beauty of the surroundings in the story. It did get a bit “preachy” after Mack visited Sophia and made me honestly tune out for a bit but otherwise, fabulous story. The music in between chapters was also not necessary and dare I say a bit annoying or obnoxious but considering the rest of the performance, I would still suggest the audiobook to anyone who was interested.

A must read for anyone caring for children!

This was a fabulous book and so helpful. I'm a Birth Boot Camp Instructor and mom of 2, and purchased this for help with my youngest who is currently bedsharing. I will recommend this to my students as well, and honestly to anyone caring for children, especially those who are with them in the evening and at nap times. I must listen again to retain all of her helpful information.

What did you like best about this story?

Listening to this story with my daughter was fantastic. We had seen the movie previews first, but the book is always better, so we listened first, then had a movie date. The book was so much better and more detailed.

Would you consider the audio edition of 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess to be better than the print version?

I'm a busy, working mom of two so if I can listen while driving around or cleaning the house, I'm always in favor of the audiobook.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess?

There were many tidbits that I took away from this book. Listening to how Jen applied these to her own busy life was helpful.

Great book that addresses some mature subjects

What made the experience of listening to Pax the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed listening to this book with my 8-year-old daughter. It was a sad but sweet story and led to some great conversations.

Which character – as performed by Michael Curran-Dorsano – was your favorite?

Pax was definitely our favorite character!

Any additional comments?

The book had some mature subjects surround the war, death, etc. I was a little shocked at first, and even cried right along with my daughter, but overall, we both enjoyed the story.
