What did you like best about 100 Simple Things You Can Do to Prevent Alzheimer's? What did you like least?
The book gave good practical advice in easy-to-listen to chunks. It tackled Alzheimers as a problem that could affect all of us, although there are things we can do to prevent it.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
It wasn't actually a story. It was fine just the way it was as a self-help book.
Did Susanna Burney do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
There were no different characters! This is a non-fiction book with practical advice on dementia prevention.
Was 100 Simple Things You Can Do to Prevent Alzheimer's worth the listening time?
Yes, it was. I would listen to ten different points every day, while walking my dog, so that I could 'digest' them mentally.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Help to be better than the print version?
Yes, absolutely. The accents and excellent dramatic readings of the three narrators brought the story alive.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Help?
There are many memorable moments throughout the book, including when Aibilene's son died (tragic), to when little Mae Mobly had to sleep in a dirty nappy all night because he parents couldn't bother to change her (sad), to when Minnie baked 'that' pie!
What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
The accents, the subtle chuckles, the intonations, the variety - all were excellent!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Well, there is a film already!
Any additional comments?
I love listening to audio-books on my kindle. I listen at 2am with my kindle on my pillow when I can't sleep, I listen at the gym and when walking my dog (with ear phones) and then I attach a speaker to my kindle and listen while doing housework or driving!

Historia
Stephen R. Covey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, has been a top seller for the simple reason that it ignores trends and pop psychology for proven principles of fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity. Celebrating its 15th year of helping people solve personal and professional problems, this special anniversary edition includes a new foreword and afterword written by Covey that explore whether the 7 Habits are still relevant and answer some of the most common questions he has received over the past 15 years.

Would you try another book from Stephen R. Covey and/or Stephen R. Covey?
Yes, if it was in a field that interested me.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
I haven't got that far yet, sorry!
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
He read too fast! Slow down, please!
Could you see The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Not really, as it's more of a life-skills book. But I would vote for George Clooney, anyway, if it needed an actor!
Any additional comments?
Listening via audiobooks is a good way to 'read' the book while walking the dog or driving to work!

Historia
This memoir is laced with wonderful stories about the French character, particularly in the world of food, and the way of life that Julia Child embraced so wholeheartedly. Above all, she reveals the kind of spirit and determination, the sheer love of cooking, and the drive to share that with her fellow Americans that made her the extraordinary success she became.

Julia comes to life!
Revisado: 01-17-12
What made the experience of listening to My Life in France the most enjoyable?
I learned more about Julia Child and her lovely husband. I found the first person presentation entertaining - Julia came alive for me! I enjoyed her exclamations too (e.g. 'Phew' etc!)
Would you ever listen to anything by Julia Child and Alex Prud'Homme again?
Absolutely! I found the contextualising of their lives in post-war Europe fascinating to listen to, and I learned a lot too about that time period and US-French relations.
What about Kimberly Farr’s performance did you like?
Narrator Kimberley Farr's performance is entertaining and her French pronunciation is perfect.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No, it wasn't that sort of book! However I was thoroughly intrigued and entertained all the way through!
Any additional comments?
I am not a keen cook, but listening to Julia Child's enthusiastic recounting of recipes and food makes me want to master the art of French cuisine myself!
