Life Changing

After my family experienced a horrible trauma in the public eye several years ago I began to experience anxiety and panic attacks for the first time in my life. This book has absolutely changed my life and helped me understand exactly what my mind and body have been doing and how to go about changing it. I’m so thankful for it! I cannot recommend it enough!!!

I struggled with insecurity, comparison, and isolation for too many years, from thigh gaps to eyebrows to the lifestyles I felt I had to live up to. I was so afraid of being "found out", that everyone in my life would somehow figure out that I was fearful and small and that I struggled to make my faith a reality and to be secure in who I am.

Life changing

I am a 32-year-old mother of three young kids and this book was life-changing! I love the way it is laid out. The narrators voice was one of the best ones I have heard and I listen to a lot of audio books. It is easy to follow along and the scripture and prayer guidelines she give you to fight your fearless moments are wonderful. I found myself quickly writing down notes all the time so I am going to purchase the hard copy as well!

Incredibly Insightful For A White Woman From The Suburbs

This book was so insightful to me as a white woman who knows nothing about the perspective of being black in this country. I feel naive to the inclusiveness I felt we all had, and ignorant to the issues black Americans have to deal with. Though it was sometimes hard for me to hear, I am thankful to Benjamin for having the courage to write it and teaching us that Jesus Christ is the only real way we are going to experience true change within ourselves. I wish ALL my friends and family, black and white, would read this book.

Incredible! I couldn't stop listening to this book. Despite its long length I was captivated from the first moment. I laughed and cried throughout the book and felt her pain so clearly as a mother. I felt as though I was living through every moment of the entire story with them. What a beautiful tribute to her daughter and grandson.

Many friends recommended this book and I was excited to listen. I found most of the content to be a waste of time. I don't need chapters about yoga pants and recipes. Ultimately I just couldn't finish. After hearing her comments bashing Trump and that an LGBT relationship "can be holy" I have sense unfollowed her on all social media and do not find anything she says to carry weight in my eyes. Disappointing all around.
