Historia
The most renowned and wittiest of Oscar Wilde's comedies, The Importance of Being Earnest ridicules Victorian sensibilities and is still strikingly relevant to this day. This full-cast audio adaptation featuring Tim Brooke-Taylor as Lady Bracknell is unique yet at the same time reassuringly familiar, with wonderful performances from the Offstage Theatre Group.

A sad performance of a hilarious play. Oscar Wilde would be terribly disappointed. So was I.

An Amazing Journey
Revisado: 05-10-19
I did not think the book would be better than the movie. However with reading “The Shape of Water” I found that both the book and the movie are magnificent. The book wins. Rarely have I found myself crying at the end of the story but I did and I am still. Trying to put it into words does it a disservice so I will just say that I hope each reader decides for themselves to read and listen to perfection.

This is the story of the unhappy family of Anna Karenina. The novel contains much concerning Tolstoy's spiritual crisis and his search for the meaning of life. But it is also chiefly about marriage, and the growth and death of love.

Listened to this four times, never will tire of it
Revisado: 03-25-15
Would you listen to Anna Karenina again? Why?
Yes I will listen to it again and again. The book itself draws the listener to the story with it being one of the top 5 classics. And when it is read, it comes to life.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Levin, always Levin. He tries to figure things out, he is spiritual without realizing it. He is generous, faithful, evolving.
What does Davina Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I think her best characterizations are of Anna and Kitty. When she reads, these women become very real.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
My extreme reaction is that I am addicted to it.
Any additional comments?
Thank you Mr. Tolstoy for the gift of this novel.

War and Peace is one of the greatest monuments in world literature. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Napoleonic Wars, it examines the relationship between the individual and the relentless march of history. Here are the universal themes of love and hate, ambition and despair, youth and age, expressed with a swirling vitality which makes the book as accessible today as it was when it was first published in 1869.

Humanity by Tolstoy
Revisado: 02-11-15
If you could sum up War and Peace, Volume 2 in three words, what would they be?
Realistic-life is unpredictable as are the lives of the characters in War and Peace. There is no escape from the horror of the war, all are touched. Thought provoking. Rich.
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed the way Tolstoy makes sure a character is revealed in great depth.
What does Neville Jason bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He was easy to listen to, and this book was a year long commitment for me when I read it!

Historia
The passionate and tragic story of Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff is one of the high points of 19th-century Romantic literature. In the relationship of Cathy and Heathcliff, and in the wild, bleak Yorkshire Moors of its setting, Wuthering Heights creates a world of its own, conceived with a disregard for convention and an instinct for poetry and the darkest depths of the human soul in torment.
