I am a huge fan of all things F Paul Wilson, I own and have listened to every single of his novels released on Audible yet I still found myself surprised at how great THE UPWELLING was. I am checking Audible every single day to see if LEXIE Book 2 of The Hidden series is available for purchase. THE UPWELLING is a stand alone novel yet had several extra pieces of absolute gold for the hardcore fans of Wilson such as myself.

J Rodney Turner once again does a magnificent narration of a Ronald Kelly book, these two seem to be the perfect pair that never seem to disappoint.

New Spin on Werewolf Genre

Candace Nola has written a very original take on the werewolf genre and hit a home run. I will certainly be coming back for more by this author who was able to have excellent characterization in such a compact story. I loved her jump cut technique (not sure if that is the proper term), it advanced the story quickly cutting out the fluff which I doubt many authors could pull off. I plan to check out more work by Candace Nola in the future.

Great Halloween Themed Collection

The Halloween Store is an excellent story and other stories were really good also but I was leaning to a four star review. I then listened to Pretty Little Lanterns which was by far my favorite story in this collection and made this a definite five star collection for me.

Ex-Boogeyman is a fun and entertaining story that fans of the slasher films of the 80’s will love. Felt like Triana did not take himself too seriously with this one, he just set out to write a story that had the same feel the classic slashers of the 80’s had and he certainly succeeded.
