Historia
Fiver could sense danger. Something terrible was going to happen to the warren; he felt sure of it. They had to leave immediately. So begins a long and perilous journey of survival for a small band of rabbits. As the rabbits skirt danger at every turn, we become acquainted with the band, its humorous characters, and its compelling culture, complete with its own folk history and mythos. Fiver’s vision finally leads them to Watership Down, an upland meadow. But here they face their most difficult challenges of all.

Historia
From Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States to the New York Times' 1619 project, the modern Left views American history through the lens of competing oppressions, replacing the traditional understanding that all Americans are part of a shared journey toward the perfection of universal ideals. Their attacks on the values that built our nation, from the rights to free speech and self-defense to the importance of marriage and faith communities, are insidious because they replace each of them with nothing beyond an increased reliance on the government.

Preach!
Revisado: 07-29-20
Ben does it again! Anyone who thinks of themself as liberal needs to listen up. The radical left in this country is NOT your friend. They aren't fighting for the same things as you. Their goal is to destroy this country in three easy steps and the establishment Democrats are willing to either stand by and let it happen or, in some case, assist them in their pursuit of Communist revolution.

Historia
In 10 lectures, award-winning historian Patrick N. Allitt transports listeners to England in the 1840s and 1850s. During those two decades, Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, became one of the most influential people in the country and remains a figure of fascination even today. In fact, the British royal family as we know it wouldn't exist without the private and public actions of this detached, impartial, and upright political figure.

Historia
In April 1956, a refitted oil tanker carried 58 shipping containers from Newark to Houston. From that modest beginning, container shipping developed into a huge industry that made the boom in global trade possible. The Box tells the dramatic story of the container's creation, the decade of struggle before it was widely adopted, and the sweeping economic consequences of the sharp fall in transportation costs that containerization brought about.

Super Interesting But The Narration Can Get Tiring
Revisado: 02-03-20
This is a fascinating look into the history of shipping containers and how a seemingly simply concept revolutionized the shipping industry. The writing style made it very easy to understand and kept my interest. There is a bit of history of the shipping industry in the beginning but you quickly get into the history of the shipping container. It is crazy to think that just 70 years ago in the 50's, the shipping container wasn't even a concept in anybody's mind. Today the world is much smaller thanks to Malcolm McLean and his relentless mission to efficiently get widgets from Point A to Point B.
The narration was pretty good but after awhile, I would have appreciated some changes in tone or tempo. I fully realize reading a book like this must be difficult but the last few chapters got to be a bit of a chore.

Not For Me But Not Bad Performances
Revisado: 06-20-19
The subjects and stories of this collection were hit and miss for me. Some were a little too morose but all were not as compelling as I was hoping. The performances were pretty good, not great. I found my mind wandering and I wasn't fully drawn in by them.

Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Very Interesting
Revisado: 06-20-19
This was a great "what if" story. Meaning, what if this were real, would it change my view on death/murder now or are my morals circumstantial without any foundation. I say this a little tongue in cheek because in all honesty, the story is not that deep but that's where my mind went. I would highly recommend this as a great story and it makes you think a little.

Charming and Delightful
Revisado: 04-10-19
What a great story! Nothing too original here but it's just good storytelling. I was always looking forward to what sort of adventures Alice, Tommy, and Maeve would get into next. And they were all believable, well aside from the genie of course. I didn't find myself having to stretch my belief that 12 year olds could accomplish what these three did. Highly recommended.

Historia
Late Victorian London. When James Miller, the most respectable of Scottish businessmen, is pulled, dead, from the Thames, his daughter is drawn into an investigation which reveals a whole world of secrets and corruption. Alongside local detective Culley, Catriona’s search for her father’s killer leads all the way to the tragic truth behind the ghostly legend of The Darkwater Bride and the power of her deadly kiss. The Darkwater Bride combines the genres of the Victorian mystery thriller with the equally classic Victorian mode of the ghostly tale.

Great Performances, Sub Par Ending
Revisado: 04-10-19
The voice acting was fantastic! I felt as though I were really walking around with Katrina and Cully during their investigation. Unfortunately, the end left me saying, "That's it? That was the big reveal?" I dunno what I was expecting. Up until the last two chapters I was on the edge of my seat. The last two chapters were predictable.

Revisado: 03-23-19
This was a great listen. Ben Shapiro has hit the nail on the head once again. This country needs to realize what a sad state we are in and turn back to God. Yes, Shapiro mentions Greek reason but that is secondary to the first need. Without God, reason leads you nowhere.
