Historia
She soars above a world of warriors, kings, and priests. The daughter of Belgarath and the shape-shifter Poledra, she has fought wars, plotted palace coups, and worked her powerful magic for 3,000 years. Now, Polgara looks back at her magnificent life, in this fitting crown jewel to the saga that is the Eddingses' Belgariad and Mallorean cycles. Her hair streaked white by her father's first touch, her mind guided by a mother she will not see again for centuries, Polgara begins life in her Uncle Beldin's tower, and in the prehistorical, magical Tree that stands in the middle of the Vale.

Where is Cameron Beierlie?!?
Revisado: 08-10-19
Whoever decided that one book of a series should be read by someone else should be shot. I am so angry I could spit.
All due respect to Dina Pearlman but she is not Cameron Beierlie. I cannot even finish the whole thing. I’ve gotten to chapter seven and I hate poledra. I hate Polgara. All the women sound pretentious. The character accents that Beierlie put so much work into developing are gone.
It’s an atrocity.
And the way that she pronounces Mallorea.
Ugh!! I. Want. Cameron. Back.

Brilliant book, terrible character voice choices
Revisado: 11-25-15
If you have not read the books you should get this audiobook and you'll probably have no problem with the voice choices made for each character.
However anyone who has read the book will likely be left scratching there heads over why Benedict has the voice of a Southern Gentlemen for the love of Pete!
It's clear that no research into the work was done in advance of recording whatsoever.
Very disappointing for fans.
Probably inconsequential for those new to the book.
