Historia
The political, and very human, dynamics behind presidential cabinets, from George Washington to Joe Biden, come to life in The Best and Worst Presidential Cabinets in U.S. History. What Lindsay M. Chervinsky offers in this eye-opening Audible Original is an investigation of the good, the bad, and the ugly of presidential cabinets. Covering more than two centuries of history, it’s a fascinating tour of scandals, colorful personalities, big events, and triumphs of diversity and bipartisanship. Not to mention jobs with a very high turnover rate.

Historia
On Halloween eve 1938, people across America gathered around the radio to listen to their favorite Sunday evening program. Expecting to hear the latest drama from Orson Welles's Mercury Theatre, many were alarmed when news bulletins interrupted the show. New Jersey had been rocked by mysterious explosions. The announcements continued, each more frantic than the last. An invading army's strange and powerful weapons had killed thousands. Listeners feared the worst. Was America under attack by the Germans? Could this be the start of another world war?

Radio and the great war or the worlds
Revisado: 10-16-22
I have always been a lover of radio, and OTR shows that paint a picture in your mind. Of course, Oct 30 1938 was one of the most extraordinary events for Radio or OTR in the years to come. The masterful Orson Welles and his theater group Mercury Theather on the air knew just how to create that theater of the mind not only with words but also significant effects and the Drama of suspense in waiting 2,3,4,5 seconds to drop the arms and continue the play. This book did a masterful job of behind the scenes and how it lead to the day of airing live across CBS to the after-effects. Brilliantly told by the author with great Narration. Highly recommend this for any Orson Welles, radio, or OTR fan. Theater of the Mind is just like a great audiobook today as Radio was back then,

Brilliant story telling
Revisado: 05-08-22
Erle Stanley Gardner I really only knew his name from Perry Mason The classic TV show as the creator of this Character. I have always wanted to read these books however as with life you can't always fit in every book you would like. Thankfully I saw these on Audible and I have truly enjoyed these stories. So many books in this series which I love. This story was so well written and so well done. The Narration was incredible. If you love the classic Perry Mason TV show I think you'll really enjoy this book. I highly recommend it.

Historia
On November 26, 1791, George Washington convened his department secretaries - Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, Henry Knox, and Edmund Randolph - for the first cabinet meeting. Why did he wait two and a half years into his presidency to call his cabinet? Because the US Constitution did not create or provide for such a body. Washington was on his own.

Historia
Thousands of people have had near-death experiences, but scientists have argued that they are impossible. Dr. Eben Alexander was one of those scientists. Neurosurgeon Alexander knew that NDEs feel real, but are simply fantasies produced by brains under extreme stress. Then, Dr. Alexander’s own brain was attacked by a rare illness. The part of the brain that controls thought and emotion shut down completely. For seven days he lay in a coma. Then Alexander’s eyes popped open. He had come back. Alexander’s recovery is a medical miracle. But the real miracle of his story lies elsewhere.

A Heartfelt Story
Revisado: 03-08-20
All of us wonder what if or Maybe do some people truly see Heaven and live to return to share the story of Faith, Hope, Love and God. In this book I have listened to it twice now and have really enjoyed the heartfelt story that not only The Dr went through but what his family and friends did as well. Hearing this story of the afterlife from a man of science and a Dr of ones brain and how he transformed into believing in people actually seeing the afterlife is remarkable, Using science to explain what happened to him and his brain , or lack thereof Brain function and how he can remember something that sounds so Peaceful and so relaxed was truly a masterful true account of his story which Provides us with Proof of Heaven, Keep your faith, Love each other and Trust in God and the Love of Jesus and we too will see that beautiful place some day when our time is up on earth.

The intruder is retired detective Harry Bosch, working a cold case that has gotten under his skin. Ballard kicks him out but then checks into the case herself, and it brings a deep tug of empathy and anger. Bosch is investigating the death of 15-year-old Daisy Clayton, a runaway on the streets of Hollywood who was brutally murdered and her body left in a dumpster like so much trash. Now, Ballard joins forces with Bosch.

Bosch seemed weak as was the story
Revisado: 03-16-19
Painfully I have to say this was one of the weak Bosch books like the black box which was my least favorite. I love the Ballard Character and of course Harry is one of my go to all time favorite characters when I think detective novel. I just don't see why Harry had to become weaker and dumber in this joint novel. Loved the narration, both were fantastic in the chapters they read. Just not not my cup of tea with this story. By the sounds of it Connelly is going to go down the joint Novel approach with these two characters and I only hope the next one will have them equally strong. I also hope he will bring back Haller at some point .
