Historia
Rachel Jenner is walking in a Bristol park with her eight-year-old son, Ben, when he asks if he can run ahead. It's an ordinary request on an ordinary Sunday afternoon, and Rachel has no reason to worry - until Ben vanishes. Police are called, search parties go out, and Rachel, already insecure after her recent divorce, feels herself coming undone. As hours and then days pass without a sign of Ben, everyone who knew him is called into question, from Rachel's newly married ex-husband to her mother-of-the-year sister.

What i know- This was a weak ending.
Revisado: 12-10-15
Gilly Macmillan seems to have the ability to write. I would definitely read another one of her novels in hopes she gains some experience on how to finish. This novel is well structured, but the key element of whodunit lacks any satisfaction. I won't spoil it for you, as i do think its worth the read, but it could have been loads better. The narrators are exceptional. Possibly the best tandem i have heard. All in all, despite the let down, worth the credit. If for nothing else, hearing a Jason Statham sound-alike.

I'M ALIVE..
Revisado: 12-04-15
A story that does not get enough attention is what '438 Days' is. A story of adversity and resilience that will make you feel good to be alive. There is a slight disconnect between the author and the subject and you feel plenty is lost in translation. But envisioning what happened in those 438 days is the real star of the story. "what would i do" and "would i be able to do that" will often pop into your head.George Newbern brilliant as always. Great read and well worth the credit.

Unbelievable...Literally.
Revisado: 10-27-15
Sadly, this book left me angry. Angry that it was building up to a fantastic climax, yet dropped like a 2 tonne stone on my brain. The surprise twist is both unbelievable and less than satisfying. The author does write well, and clearly is versed in legal matters. And George Newbern does a fantastic job as usual. However, neither is enough to make up for the let down it inevitably is.. Not worth the credit.

They are coming. The countdown has begun. First visible only as blips on a telescope image, the discovery of objects approaching from Jupiter's orbit immediately sets humanity on edge. NASA doesn't even bother to deny the alien ships' existence. The popular Astral space app (broadcasting from the far side of the moon and accessible by anyone with Internet) has already shown the populace what is coming.

Revisado: 09-27-15
Fantastic introduction to author's Platt and Truant. Reasonably fast paced and well laid out "Alien Invasion" story. If you liked the movie Armageddon, you will love this book. My only issue with it is that book 2 is not available yet..... Ray Porter does a fantastic job with the narration. Very well done and worth the credit.

Historia
A masterful, intensely suspenseful novel about a reader whose obsession with a reclusive writer goes far too far - a book about the power of storytelling, starring the same trio of unlikely and winning heroes King introduced in Mr. Mercedes. "Wake up, genius." So begins King's instantly riveting story about a vengeful reader. The genius is John Rothstein, an iconic author who created a famous character, Jimmy Gold, but who hasn't published a book for decades.

Bleh. Hard time finishing.
Revisado: 05-12-15
First, I would like to point out, this is not a stand alone novel. In fact, its 4th in the series. Would have been nice for Audible to indicate this. I have no intention of listening to the others. The book never picked up pace. The narration was ok, but voice didn't seem to suit the characters. In the end, i cannot put my finger on it, but the story just seemed bland....and ridiculous. Not worth the credit.

Good. if you can get by the burping
Revisado: 05-12-15
This is my first Dan Brown novel. Obviously, not his most popular, but that's ok. I was rather impressed at how Dan Brown is able to keep you turning the pages. Not the best story, but still a page turner. He writes it like tv serial that has a cliffhanger every week. It just reaches out and turns the page for you(er. um, hits the play button). On the downside, the audio is disturbing. I recommend having some white noise in your environment whilst listening. Or using the worst headphones you have. The mic picked up everything on this recording. swallowing, lip smacking, even burping. Richard Poe is a very good narrator, but boy, they need to maybe edit this a tad. Overall, a good book and worth the credit.

Amos Decker's life changed forever - twice. The first time was on the gridiron. A big, towering athlete, he was the only person from his hometown of Burlington ever to go pro. But his career ended before it had a chance to begin. On his very first play, a violent helmet-to-helmet collision knocked him off the field for good and left him with an improbable side effect - he can never forget anything.

Good character, bad plot, worse narration
Revisado: 04-23-15
This is my first David Baldacci, and probably would download another of his. The protagonist is an affable savant who we will most likely see many more times. I won't get into the plot, but it goes beyond the need of suspension of disbelief. I will leave it at that. What makes this listen below average is the monotone narration of Ron Mclarty, and the sometimes annoying Orlagh Cassidy( who i normally find very very good). Mclarty is unable to do proper multiple character voices. All this i could tolerate, but the final edit has, what i believe to be Mclarty, interjecting with lines in a completely different voice. As a narrator and not a character. This is just horrendous editing that should never have made it to the final product. Despite the low rating, i would still say its probably worth the credit.....But barely.

Historia
Early on the morning of February 17, 1970, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, a Green Beret doctor named Jeffrey MacDonald called the police for help. When the officers arrived at his home they found the bloody and battered bodies of MacDonald's pregnant wife and two young daughters. The word "pig" was written in blood on the headboard in the master bedroom. As MacDonald was being loaded into the ambulance, he accused a band of drug-crazed hippies of the crime.

Good analysis, but maybe a little far fetched
Revisado: 04-21-15
Errol Morris should have made this a documentary. He admits that he tried, but was turned down. After listening to this, i believe i can see why. Although he did his homework, a lot of the book is rehashing Fatal Vision, and explaining the 'double cross' that was perpetrated by the author. Rightfully so. But in the end, i have a hard time believing his theory based on the credibility of the 'witnesses'. Sadly, i do think this case was botched by the military police, but i do believe the conclusion would inevitably be the same. Regardless, it is still worth the credit.

Historia
One late spring evening in 2010, Shannan Gilbert - after running through the oceanfront community of Oak Beach screaming for her life - went missing. No one who had heard of her disappearance thought much about what had happened to the 24-year-old: She was a Craigslist escort who had been fleeing a scene - of what, no one could be sure. The Suffolk County police, too, seemed to have paid little attention - until seven months later, when an unexpected discovery in a bramble alongside a nearby highway turned up four bodies, all evenly spaced, all wrapped in burlap.

Decent story, but no closure(not authors fault)
Revisado: 04-21-15
Well written, and researched story. primarily of the victims. But seeing as the LISK has not been apprehended, there is no closure. I didn't expect it going in, but i did expect more. Probably worth the credit.
