Historia
On June 22, 1954, teenage friends Juliet Hulme - better known as best-selling mystery writer Anne Perry - and Pauline Parker went for a walk in a New Zealand park with Pauline’s mother, Honora. Half an hour later, the girls returned alone, claiming that Pauline’s mother had had an accident. But when Honora Parker was found in a pool of blood with the brick used to bludgeon her to death close at hand, Juliet and Pauline were quickly arrested, and later confessed to the killing.

extremely slow
Revisado: 08-25-22
narration was sooooo slooooooow. If this book had stayed on facts and not a reading of these girls diary page by page it would have been much more interesting and about 1/4 the length. Will not be reading again. Even sped up to 2x speed it was still excruciating to try and finish with the dull play by play of every single thought these girl ever had.

Historia
For much of the 20th and 21st centuries, women’s sexuality was an uncharted territory in science, studied far less frequently - and far less seriously - than its male counterpart. That is, until Emily Nagoski’s Come As You Are, which used groundbreaking science and research to prove that the most important factor in creating and sustaining a sex life filled with confidence and joy is not what the parts are or how they’re organized but how you feel about them.

great message. a little repetitive
Revisado: 01-09-22
the piano bits were REALLY distracting. The overall information is great! The metaphors were repetitive and a bit confusing after a while. SO MANY METAPHORS... the one ring, the garden, the hedgehog, the flock. and the names... I'm probably going to have to read it again to get it all straight. The information on trauma is good though.

Historia
We already rely on science to tell us what to eat, when to exercise, and how long to sleep. Why not use science to help us improve our relationships? In this revolutionary book, psychiatrist and neuroscientist Dr. Amir Levine and Rachel Heller scientifically explain why some people seem to navigate relationships effortlessly, while others struggle.

Best relationship book I've read
Revisado: 06-14-21
Almost finished the entire thing in one sitting. There are ridiculous amounts of books on relationships. They usually end up with "pray more, compromise more, don't give up!". This book helped me understand SO MUCH about myself and the relationships around me. 100% recommend. Will read again.
