This is an unusual book which I enjoyed immensely - more of a discussion of the binary aspects and rapid interest of true crime in social media. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I did enjoy it.

I have listened to Mandy's podcast since the very beginning. She has been very clear - this is not a book about the murder timeline and investigation - it is a book about covering such a complicated story as a local journalist and the toll that darkness can take. If you are interested in the facts of the murders, I would suggest listening to the "True Sunlight" Podcast.

Although this is titled. "SBF", the book is more about crypto in general over since inception. I have read several books on the FTX collapse and this book allowed me to understand the technical aspects of cryptocurrency. "Number Go Up" is a discussion of cryptocurrency in the real world - the author attends cryptocurrency conferences, NFT parties where he buys a "bored ape", tries to buy McDonalds in the real world, visits countries trying to adopt cryptocurrency, and the use of cryptocurrency for criminal activity. "Going Infinite" is a biography of SBF and discussion of SBF's childhood, education, work experience and the final days of the FTX collapse. "Easy Money" is about an actor, Ben Mackenzie, who decided crypto seemed dumb and set out to learn about the topic. All of these books are great.

"SBF" is about all types of cryptocurrencies as they developed and the best explanation of the technical issues behind the FTX collapse. The book started out a bit difficult to follow as he provided a roadmap to the book with explanations of when the issue will be further discussed but the book, in the end, answers the questions. The author also explains "effective altruism" as he had attended some meetings of "EA" members before even becoming a journalist.

I would recommend this book if you are interested in the technical issues behind the scene.

Of note, none of these books even tries to explain blockchain or the coding that is involved. Which, to me, is fine because I do not have the coding skills to understand the process.

I am not sure how I missed this book and found it in Audible Plus. The setting for the story is so intriguing - encompassing a large blimp like ship in the sky and trips to earth to find supplies - all in a huge radiation cloud. I liked the characters immediately and couldn't put it down. Have moved on to the second book which seems equally good

I really found this book to be very helpful in understanding what issues around the election. Specifically, the reporting on the people "on the ground" doing their best to run a fair election. In the process, I learned how hard it is to actually run an election and I admire the dedication of the individuals who work so hard to make it happen.

I really enjoyed this book. Even though I read about the Apollo program, the information on the Russian programs was interesting and I learned a great deal. But, as a Wisconsinite, I disagreed with the characterization of the character from Wisconsin. Two of our finest astronauts, Jim Lovell and Deke Slayton, are from Wisconsin and Jim Lovell attended the derisively called "State University" (currently ranked by US News and World Reports as #41 in the World) before attending the Naval Academy and graduating first in test pilot school. So ignore all the statements about Wisconsin.

This was an interesting book. The one issue that I had was that each chapter started with a chapter title then synopsis of the chapter and then the chapter. It made it difficult to listen to as far as flow.

This book is a discussion of Bird Flu - how the scientists and public health scientists - track down and stop Avian Flu outbreaks in poultry and humans. Last year and into January 2018, the State of Virginia had an avian flu outbreak in as of January 2018 so it is a current issue. I would definitely recommend this book - it is interesting and fast moving.

I love all the Harry Bosch books and also the series on Amazon Prime. The addition of the new main character of Rene Ballard has added interest to the story line. I would recommend this highly as a starter book of a series, but as a caveat, I think it is better to start from the beginning, if you can (no, Audible did not bribe me to say that!). Otherwise, you can watch the Bosch series on Amazon Prime (free to Prime Members and no, I was not bribed to say that either!). The Bosch series is quite true to the books and brings you up to speed quickly. Both narrators were great - Titus Welliver is the voice of Bosch to me now - (discussion with the Bosch series producers, directors, MIchael Connelly and Titus Welliver are available for free on Audible).

You will never believe the twists and turns. Interviews are with the individuals involved - not unverified sources. I recommend highly.
