Limit MCs powers in last book so he can get control. Yet, allow evil to go unchecked/unpunished.
MC still help save some lives and stop some evil. So in this book instead of training the MC to control his powers and because he helped the school fight an evil empire, they take all his power away.

Wish I hadn’t wasted time and money

The team does not separate. You make a plan with contingencies and don’t just wing it instead. You do not enter your opponents ship because you think you are too powerful. You do not overestimate yourself and you do not underestimate your opponent.
Assembling the best crew and making sure y’all work sufficiently well together will always work infinitely greater than just throwing a crew together and go into battle.
Even more ignorant decisions done by the mc and his crew.
Putting this author on my never read again list.
However, I still like listening to the narrator.

Old time comic book crap

The bad women get what they’re after. The bad women escape. The corrupt women stay in office (just like the Left).
The good guy is not trusted and bullied by everyone.
I am surprised the male MC is not locked in a cell as the author appears to hate male heroes.

Another good story installment to this series and really love these narrators. My only really small complaint was that I liked Rhysidod’s voice in the first two audibles, but wasn’t as deep this audible

Terrible narration

Male voices I mostly could tolerate, but female voices sound like helium and alcohol were being used by the narrator.
I could only listen to it a 1/3 of the way thru before it became to unbearable
I actually enjoyed the book so went back reread it instead of listening to anymore

Just not good

Sorry, but from first page the story just was unappealing. I just felt that the characters had regressed. A soap opera seems more logical/realistic then this story

Main female lead fail

New to this genre...however this is the 4th book I’ve read/listened to. I enjoyed Ms Holt other books, but found this tale dragging and became very annoyed with the main female lead. The only reason I finished it was because I thoroughly enjoy Ms Stribling narration

The crew is from a tough, experienced sea faring race, that spend most of their time being stymied by everyone they run into and the pirate who is a rank amature sailor. Soap opera story. Calling quit on the series.

Basically the problem I had was that it's a coming of age story at a snail's pace. Didn't care after a couple of chapters on the repeated abuse of the MC and the lack of consistent character growth.
