Very Pro-Abortion
Revisado: 12-07-23
I wish I would have known that this was a pro-abortion, pro-planned parenthood book. Not a horrible book and I enjoyed the characters. I just don’t care for books where the twist at the end is nothing more than a strong political statement.

Historia
Thisbe Chisholm wants to be a writer. It’s 2007, a time of digital revolution and skyrocketing property prices, but she’s an old-fashioned girl. She longs only to tell the stories written on her heart. While her best friends, Penny and Jane, and her darling boyfriend, John, seem set for stellar careers in their chosen fields, Thisbe works nights as a hostess at a glitzy harbourside Sydney club - a job she despises but has paid the rent for the last three years since university graduation.

An excellent listening experience
Revisado: 01-20-21
Caroline Lee ranks in my top favorite narrators and I was hopeful in listening to her read for an author unknown to me. It was a lovely introduction for me and I’m very much looking forward to listening to more audible books by Kim Kelly. Her characters are so well developed and she keeps a really great pace as the story moves along.

Historia
Ten years after Simone Payton broke his heart, all Roscoe Winston wants is a doughnut. He'd also like to forget her entirely, but that's never going to happen. Roscoe Winston remembers everything - every look, every word, every single unrequited second - and the last thing he needs is another memory of Simone. Unfortunately, after one chance encounter, Simone keeps popping up everywhere he happens to be....

What happened?
Revisado: 09-11-19
I’ve not found the Winston Brothers series as entertaining as Knitting in the City, but I’ve enjoyed them. Until this one. The narration of Simone was just painful to listen to. Her character wasn’t well developed. Roscoe was almost absent from the story except for his “flashbacks” that were hard to follow in audible format. Random, and seemingly unnecessary, tidbits of past characters dropped here and there. It read like it was rushed to meet a deadline and then the part for Chloe picked because absolutely no one else was available.
