I liked listening to this well-narrated true story of the first six women astronauts in the U.S. I did struggle to keep them straight and wished I had the book rather than the audio at times, but I loved learning about these trailblazers and their lives.

I loved listening to the story of Sportcoat and all the people of the Causeway in 1969 NY. The characters are vibrant, well-drawn, and the narrator does an excellent job bringing them to life. I laughed out loud numerous times and found myself needing to know what happened to all of them, yet not wanting the story to end.

I liked listening to this story told from multiple perspectives of the people who live in Briarwood house, even the house’s perspective. The story alternates between Thanksgiving 1954 and early 1950 when Grace March moves in, changing the relationship dynamics of the women boarders to each other and to the family who owns the house. I also liked learning from the author’s note at the end that many of the characters were based on real people.

I would give this 3.5 stars for the interesting twist the book with about 2 hours left. For the most part, I found most of the story far-fetched, but the twists at the end made me appreciate the book more. The narrator is great, and the book was entertaining.

I liked listening to this memoir/biography of former LA police officer & private detective who was a Fixer for movie stars and others. He lived an interesting life and became one of the few people who somewhat knew what happened to Marilyn Monroe, but it isn’t revealed until the very end of the book.

I thought this was going to be a mystery, which there were some elements of mystery in the story, but it was more a family drama. It was interesting to learn about Adrian, his 3 wives, and 5 children, and it was somewhat realistic, but there were no people that I really liked, so that made it more difficult for me to like the book.

I liked listening to this story of how Mina Lee’s childhood trauma affected her all her life, eventually also affecting her daughter’s life. When Margot finds her mother dead, Margot needs to figure out what happened to her mother and in the process, Margot learns about the past her mother had tried to protect Margot from. The narrator was quite stilted, so I recommend listening at a faster speed—at least 1.2.

I liked listening to this sweet story of friendship that happens to Laura Costello just when she needs it most. After her apartment building of 1 week has a fire, Laura must find a new place to live in Los Angeles, a new city to her when she moves there for graduate school. Luckily, she seeks refuge in a bookstore where one of the employees takes Laura home to the house where Laura becomes a renter and meets many new friends.

I liked listening to this fast-paced thriller about 5 contestants trying to win $10 million on a live-streamed reality show, but as events unfold, the contestants all have secrets they want to keep secret, but it seems someone knows what they are hiding.
