Historia
The day that every secret service agent trains for has arrived. The White House has been breached; the President forced to flee to a massive doomsday bunker outside DC to defend against whatever comes next. Only the most trusted agents and officials are allowed in with him—those dedicated to keeping the government intact at all costs. Among these is Erik Hill, who has given his life to the Secret Service. They are his purpose and his family, and his impressive record has made him a hero among them.

Way too Long and Not Believable
Revisado: 12-09-24
Without giving away too much, this is just an incredible story.
One of the SS Agents was on her first day and they assigned her to protect the president?
In another part of the story it was mentioned that only officers were assigned to the bunker, but it was mentioned that a sergeant was digging - how did he get in?
I had to stop listening midway - it was just not worth the time.

It was free and it was worth listening
Revisado: 03-11-24
Very depressing story that was long in coming to a close. Very detailed information about becoming a medical examiner. Too much at times that the characters never had enough time to be known. I did catch an editing error, There was a character with a dog at his home, the same dog went from a Rottweiler to a Pitbull - minor error.
The ending was sad. But all the action was in the last few minutes of the book.

Historia
In retreat from a devastating loss and crushing injustice, Katie lives alone in a fortresslike stone house on Jacob’s Ladder island. Once a rising star in the art world, she finds refuge in her painting. The neighboring island of Ringrock houses a secret: a government research facility. And now two agents have arrived on Jacob’s Ladder in search of someone—or something—they refuse to identify. Although an air of menace hangs over these men, an infinitely greater threat has arrived, one so strange even the island animals are in a state of high alarm.

Incredible and not Believable
Revisado: 02-20-23
This is a slow moving story that is frankly not worth the credit. The narrator is limited and her accents were really bad.
The plot line was not well thought out and the only character I really liked was the fox.

Historia
In Gerrardsville, Colorado, a woman dies under the wheels of a moving bus. The death is ruled a suicide. But Jack Reacher saw what really happened: A man in a gray hoodie and jeans, moving stealthily, pushed the victim to her demise—before swiftly grabbing the dead woman’s purse and strolling away.

Lame Reacher Novel
Revisado: 12-22-22
First of all Andrew Child uses too many British words for an American novel. The editor should have removed them as they are not appropriate. Second, there are numerous references to PAY Phones in this book. There are none left outside of airports and maybe in some random gas stations. Jack Reacher is over 60 years old and he is still 6'5" 250 lbs of muscle. How is that possible for a guy walking around doing nothing? He was only active duty for 13 years and even the 4 years at West Point would not get him a pension - so where does his money come from? He has not had a documented job since book 4.
In this latest work Reacher was asked if he ever had a significant other - I am not sure which book it was but he nearly married the General's daughter. I guess Jack forgot. Towards the end of the book Andrew Child mentioned that the chief of police was pushing 60 like it was a bad thing. Reacher is at least 61 based on his graduation of West Point and 13 years of service ending in 1997.

Great value and really good stories
Revisado: 11-16-22
I enjoyed the narration, RC Bray is excellent and it was a well written story line. The books all worked well together, characters could have been developed better, and the main character seemed to have gotten too lucky solving the cases. The fourth book had an issue with one of the last chapters out of sequence. Otherwise well recommended collection for one credit!

Never lived up to the hype
Revisado: 10-25-22
This was a tiring story that could’ve been abridged to a 45 minute short story. Not much happened until the last hour. John Cory disappointed in this work. Also wished that Scott brick had spoken to people on Long Island and gotten the town pronunciations accurate. Minor point. Disappointing overall performance and storyline.

The terms are simple: Rapp agrees to leave the country and stay in plain sight for as long as Cook controls the White House. In exchange, the administration agrees not to make any moves against him. This fragile détente holds until Cook’s power-hungry security adviser convinces him that Rapp has no intention of honoring their agreement. To put him on the defensive, they leak the identity of his partner, Claudia Gould.

Rapp is getting Tired
Revisado: 09-28-22
Mitch is well into his 50s and the story lacked any action and adventure. Much like Jack Reacher, at some point maybe they should retire the series. I loved the books when Rapp was younger and in direct conflict - this book was just tiring to listen to and not that good. Even his assumed name that he was using in South Africa was dumb. I hope this is the last book or maybe Mitch can be like Rocky and get a younger guy to train directly.

Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

It was good until it wasn't
Revisado: 09-21-22
I love SKs old work, with the exception of the Dark Tower series, which this book is very much like. When SK wrote 11-22-63 it was a fantasy novel but somehow it was believable. This work lost me when he went down into the tunnel. Then it became absurd and very much not believable. I wanted to like it and I listened to the entire book. The narrator is great but the story became comical. Sorry.

Revisado: 09-06-22
The story was just okay, but there were 24 more hours of Twitter feeds and correspondence online that does not work well in an audiobook. Too much wokeness for my liking.
