Incredibly Dull

Just dull and heavy on the monotone narration. There is no real mystery and no real point to this story.

A Struggle to Finish

This was ridiculous beyond the sci fi element. Was I supposed to believe anyone could get their credit card replaced when they have him listed as dead. Then instantly get a brand new passport with just the credit card and saying he wasn't dead. Every time he runs into a situation that could add a little suspense to the boring book, he easily gets through. It's incredibly boring book with repeated attempts to write something profound. Those end up being big words thrown in when the rest is sophomoric at best.

Nothing Special

Yet another book where every character is an awful human being and are all beautiful and well off. The summary sounded decent but was poorly executed. Just another story where every awful person has a ridiculous secret. At least the narrator was decent.

This was so bad

The narrator, not so great with voices. Every man has pretty much the same voice that sounds like it's a painful raspy. The 3 friends are horrible, nobody in the story is a decent person. It jumps around and over exaggerated reactions. Doesn't even give it a tolerable ending.

Predictable and Annoying

No surprises and pretty easy to see where it's going. The main character is ridiculous and an awful person. It was one long eye roll.

Disappointing

This was really short and not her best. Then as a type 1 Diabetic I've had enough of the trend of killing people with insulin. I swear half of the 80 I listened to this year were murder by insulin. Nobody does that irl.

Waisted Money

Seriously one of the top 5 worst things I've ever listened to, the whole series. This was all over the place and parts made absolutely no sense. She names everything like a kid or cartoon would. The worst is what she names the studio. Stu Stu studio is beyond awful and it's said so many times. Heavy on the amount of lesbian characters this time. I'm not sure how old the author is, but she writes like a middle age person and like a teen and an old lady. It's like those were all mixed together. I only bought this because I have to finish a series I start. Oh how I wish I could get that waisted time and the brain space it took up.

It had potential

Not his best, just crude and disgusting for no reason

I've read/listened to almost every book Preston has written solo. This was long, slow, gross and with some uneeded crudeness. It took over a month to slog my way through this mess. Could of done without the mental image from the phrase "David Attenborough would cream his pants". Can't really go through my issues with this book without "spoiling" it for those who would buy this. Those would be the ones that will love hearing "mamouth s**t and liver bile perfume".

Nowhere in the summary did it say anything about witches! I loathe anything with witches and demons and monsters. Made it an almost 2 hours, but I can't take anymore spells and curses nonsense.
