Historia
Two weeks have passed since Iris Winnow returned home bruised and heartbroken from the front, but the war is far from over. Roman is missing, and the city of Oath continues to dwell in a state of disbelief and ignorance. When Iris and Attie are given another chance to report on Dacre’s movements, they both take the opportunity and head westward once more despite the danger, knowing it’s only a matter of time before the conflict reaches a city that’s unprepared and fracturing beneath the chancellor’s reign.

A beautiful ending to a beautiful story!

I loved the conclusion to this beautiful duology so much. The narrators are also fantastic. Probably my favorite audiobook narrators ever. This story will forever be a favorite of mine.

Historia
With a rare mix of honesty, humor, and compassion, comedian and movie star Russell Brand mines his own wild story and shares the advice and wisdom he has gained through his 14 years of recovery. Brand speaks to those suffering along the full spectrum of addiction - from drugs, alcohol, caffeine, and sugar addictions to addictions to work, stress, bad relationships, digital media, and fame. Brand understands that addiction can take many shapes and sizes and how the process of staying clean, sane, and unhooked is a daily activity.

Wow - INCREDIBLE, inspirational, and real.
Revisado: 03-07-18
Would you listen to Recovery again? Why?
YES. Absolutely. There is so much to learn from this book. It's a great introduction to the 12 steps that can be revisited and reworked many times with a sponsor or alone as you work the program.
What did you like best about this story?
The raw, "real" voice behind the story. Russell is honest, blunt, and an incredible writer/story teller. He has such a talent for writing, and you can tell he really cares about the subject. Plus, he narrates it himself and he does so perfectly.
What about Russell Brand’s performance did you like?
He's Russell Brand... enough said.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It did make me laugh AND cry. Many times.
