Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Glad I listened
Revisado: 07-26-24
I’m glad I listened to it. He has a nice voice and an interesting story. The childhood component seemed, most of the book. Marine Corp, College, and Law School, marriage and Children, were only mentioned. Personal opinion- It seemed that he may have overcome, the anger issues, until the road rage story, at the end.

Historia
Stephen Hawking not only unraveled some of the universe's greatest mysteries but also believed science plays a critical role in fixing problems here on Earth. Now, as we face immense challenges on our planet - including climate change, the threat of nuclear war, and the development of artificial intelligence - he turns his attention to the most urgent issues facing us. Will humanity survive? Should we colonize space? Does God exist? These are just a few of the questions Hawking addresses in this wide-ranging, passionately argued final book from one of the greatest minds in history.

Historia
Daisy is a girl coming of age in LA in the late '60s, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s 20, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things. Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne.

Fantastic
Revisado: 04-20-23
This was an Amazing Story. I’m a Nurse, so I can understand History, a little better, when told through a Nurses experience. This was the most Amazing survival story, History of something so Horrible and how they managed to live through it. Hang on until the end.
One extra compliment. The story is told, with all its goriness, but I wasn’t left drained (long drive to work), to be able to focus on my job. That is until the end. I was in tears. Had to sit in the car for a while, before going into work.

Listen till the end
Revisado: 10-09-22
Sometimes you start a book and just can’t listen any more. I had that feeling, in the beginning. 1. The Southern drawl, of the narrator, didn’t sound right. 2. Two different stories started and I thought my phone had jumped to a different book.
Even though it was annoying, I was driving and it was keeping me awake.
As usual, I’m glad I stuck with it. It’s definitely a twist on Sparks writing, but in the end, It worked. Thank You.
