Wasted on those who want a fast answer and pill

As I prepare for a 40-day religious fast, I listened to this as it really turned to the truths that have been promoted by ascetic living, spiritual aspirations and physical temperance promoted by all great religions. But this is not at all about religion. Whether a secularist or religious individual, I this book pairs well with those who practice sincerely their belief system, and gives very scientific reasons why loving our neighbors and doing good, dropping resentment and choosing joy - is good for them and good for us.

I don’t believe spoilers are a problem when you embark on literature. Just as I have a map to arrive to my destination- anticipate of landmarks and final objectives included - this audio book allows one to see the long road of Marcel Proust in discovering what the subject of his book would be and understanding by episode 10 that it is inevitable that it must be written: for it justified the experience of life. Well worth the listen if (and before) you ever plan to read the thousands of pages he wrote…
